If you’re not familiar with the blind date with a book concept, it’s simple: you pick a book, based on some key words such as tropes, settings… and then, you discover the book.

Blind Date With an Underrated YA Book: Take Your Pick!
Read all the little descriptions (on the images, transcripted below as well) and pick the one that you’re drawn to, the most. Click on it and you’ll be taken to the book of your choice ✨

I had so much fun reading this YA fantasy, I really enjoyed the library setting, the banter, the relationships and the atmosphere overall. A perfect fall read!

Book 2
Unnecessary Drama, Nina Kenwood
Brooke’s starting her first year of college and moving in with two other roomates… one of them being her former childhood best friend/high school nemesis.
I absolutely adored this book, a quiet YA contemporary gem that just nails what it’s like to start college, independance as a young adult and it has this excellent anxiety rep I’m still crying about. It’s adorable and extraordinary and just read it please.

Book 3
Some Mistakes Were Made, Kristin Dwyer
Ellis and Eaton have been inseparable since childhood… until Ellis’s forced to move out halfway across the country. She comes back after a year apart…
Honestly, if you love YA contemporary books with childhood friends, tons of angst and emotions, you will love this one. It’s the kind of book you want to read under a warm blanket and cry about, afterwards.

Book 4
Green Rising, Lauren James
This book is set in a future on the brink of an ecological catastrophe. We follow three teenagers in this complex world, where teenagers develop strange abilities: grow plants from their own skin.
Lauren James has an incredible mind and this book is so, so unique. Deeply echoing with out current world’s issues, it’s also hopeful, addictive and really imaginative.

All The Best Liars, Amelia Kahaney
Three girls, three best friends since childhood… until they grow apart and then, one of them dies in a deadly fire. What happened to them, really?
This YA mystery blew my mind. Now that I think about it again, I just loved it SO much. It’s thrilling, mysterious and kept me on edge the whole time. A perfect read if you’re loving mysteries in the fall season!

Book 6
All That’s Left To Say, Emery Lord

Loved this synopsis, loved this intense, poignant story dealing with grief, with a bit of mystery and a side of academic rivals to something. Definitely a gem.

OH MY GOSH!!!! THIS IS SUCH A UNIQUE CONCEPT IM HONEST TO GOODNESS OBSESSED?? also all the books sound so good!!! im genuinely confused about how ive never heard of the library of shadows because WOW IT SOUNDS PERFECT. (ghosts in school settings is everything ive ever wanted okay) all that’s left to say looks painful SO GIMME.
