Happy November, friends 🍂 Can you really believe the year’s almost over, because I can’t. Read on for my full wrap-up of what happened this October!

October was my birthday month! I unfortunately didn’t celebrate on the day (or too much at all), since I had a wedding to attend to, but I still feel like I got really spoiled by friends and loved ones and for that, I am SO grateful. Small reminder, I have an amazon wishlist as well as a ko-fi 🥺.
If you remember, I’ve been struggling a bit in September and October has, unfortunately, followed down the same road. With the season change, fall and darkness settling in, I haven’t been feeling my best and I know it won’t get better. The month has been filled with work, which didn’t really help either. Thus is life with seasonal affective disorder, but I’m doing my best! Some days, it’s okay, others not so much, but well.
I wish I had more exciting things to share in this part of the wrap-up! This November, I’m looking forward to finally seeing my family again, even if it’s just for a couple of days. And, hopefully, to better days.
I hope you’re all taking care of yourselves, friends.

I have not one, but TWO new favorite books this month, so… I’d say it’s been kind of a success?
MOST LIKELY ☂️ I really enjoyed this book! It’s a YA that focuses on friendships, told from 4 different POV. I ended up really liking all the characters and especially their friendship.
💧 Read my review – Buy the book on: Amazon – Book Depository – Bookshop – Blackwell’s
A BEAUTIFULLY FOOLISH ENDEAVOR ☂️ This is the sequel to An Absolutely Remarkable Thing. I loved this first book SO much, it’s one of my favorites. Unfortunately, its sequel wasn’t my favorite. While I still loved a lot of things, like the concept of it all, I sometimes felt a bit, lost.
💧 Buy the book on: Amazon – Book Depository – Bookshop – Blackwell’s
IRON HEART ☂️ OH MY GOD FRIENDS. This duology is one of my favorites of ALL TIMES, really, it’s official. No second book syndrome for this one, an excellent follow-up to Crier’s War. I will be screaming about this forever.
💧 Buy the book on: Amazon – Book Depository – Bookshop – Blackwell’s
A CUBAN GIRL’S GUIDE TO TEA AND TOMORROW ☂️ This book? I don’t know where to start. I expected to like it, since it’s my kind of contemporary, it has an England setting, a lot of baking and self-discovery. I ended up sobbing while reading the last couple of chapters. It’s SO GOOD, honestly. A real new favorite, I adore it. READ THIS.

Goodreads challenge: 43/60 books
Still behind my goodreads challenge on that part. At this point, I know I’m not going to make it, but I keep on being in denial with it all, for some reason?

I’ve been struggling with my writing again this past month, mostly because I’ve been all kinds of exhausted and having a tough time finding my pacing with this second draft.
Let’s be honest for a second here: my job requires me to write all day long, as well and sometimes makes me doubt my own personal writing as well.
That being said, I don’t want to give up. I’m hoping, really, not to give up on myself and on this story that’s really close to my heart.

November’s NaNoWriMo and, while I haven’t officially participated in this novel writing challenge in years, the energy I get all around from fellow writers always inspires me. I hope it will inspire me to, this month, write more and make more real progress on this story. Fingers crossed!

The past month has been kind of good, blogging-wise? I felt inspired to write blog posts and filled with ideas and I just love when I feel that way about my little corner of the internet.
I have two exciting blogging things to share with you all, yay!

I’m celebrating my 7 YEARS OF BLOGGING this November. This is, like, wow. It’s a long time to have spent on this little blog, really and I’m going to need YOU. I was wondering: if there anything special you’d like me to do to celebrate? A Q&A, if you have any questions? Suggestions are always welcome, so feel free to shout in comments!
Second exciting announcement: I revealed an exciting project of mine about a week ago in my newsletter. If you’re subscribed, thank you and I’m SO glad to see you all are already excited about it! If you’re not subscribed just yet…well, you will get the announcement soon-ish. I’m still working on the details of this plan and I’m going to, as always, reveal everything to my newsletter followers first, then on the blog and social media and everything. You can always subscribe right here if you want to:
Spoiler alert, in a couple words: blogging, transparency, secrets. That’s all I’m saying, for now! 🙂
On the blog this month: book reviews
On the blog this month: blogging, books & more
October’s Halloween season, so obviously I had to make a little list to celebrate that. I shared some spooky, atmospheric YA books to read for that time of the year and I had so much fun putting this recommendations list together!
While we’re on the topic of lists… I worked for DAYS on my most anticipated YA books for 2022 and am SO happy with the result and how well you’ve received this post. I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! It seems like 2022 will be once again, filled with way too many books to read, but… I’m not complaining!

Oh her side, Nyx blogged about chick lit and why she loves that kind of book. I think it’s such a fun post and, even if I might read less of it, I have a lot of fun with that genre, too!
When it comes to blogging… well, I’ve been in the mood to talk about mental health, maybe because this month wasn’t the best one? Still, writing about self-care as a content creator has helped me, in a way, and reminded me of the importance of putting yourself first in this hobby.

Finally… I wrote a more personal post this month to celebrate my 28th birthday. I don’t usually write personal blog posts and I’m SO happy you all enjoyed it. Thank you for reading, really, it means the world to me.
As you know, I’m always reading all of your comments, so if you have any blog posts you’d like to see from me, please feel free to let me know!
☂️ Your support means so much to me. If you enjoy my work, here’s a little extra something you can do to help me out:
- 💫 Support me by tipping me on ko-fi,
- 💫 Get something from my Amazon wishlist,
- 💫 Visit my blog’s shop and get yourself one of my favorite books or blogging essentials.
- 💫 Use my affiliate links to get yourself something (no extra for you, a small tip for me!) at the bottom of my blog’s page.
- Thank you so much for reading my posts always! All of your comments, likes, shares means everything! 🥺

I’ve been blog hopping very slowly again this past month, but here are a couple of blog posts I enjoyed reading!
- Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense wrote about why you’re NOT a bad book blogger and I loved it.
- Saima @ Stories With Saima shared 6 things they learned after 6 months of blogging.
- Beth @ Me and Ink shared 25 things she learnt in 25 years and that was a lovely blog post!
- Kat @ Life and Other Disasters shared some spooky books that won’t give you any nightmares!

How was your October? What were your reading highlights in the past month?
I’d love to hear from you in the comments!

October was my birthday month too and it wasn’t as good as I expected and I couldn’t read or blog much. November is also going to be same because of weddings and many social gatherings.
