January lasted for about twelve years and friends, let me tell you, I’m thrilled that it’s finally over and that I can write this wrap-up!
January wasn’t a good, or bad month overall, it was just… well, January, as always this endless month between winter and spring where time seems to move painfully slowly and everything seems to be annoying, too. Not much has happened in the past month, between handling the cold, the snow, the endless working days and weekends going by in a blur, it’s been, well…

It’s been long. All that I hope is that February will be quicker and warmer and that spring will be here soon.

After my holidays in late December and all the celebrations, with getting back to work and long commute and everything, I have been flying through books lately and… it’s been good.
? Books I read
If I appreciated the world this was set in, somehow this book felt a little too slow for me to completely love it. Full review here!
This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year and… well, it COMPLETELY delivered, it’s a new favorite already, I loved it SO much. Full review coming next week!
Well that was what I’d call an ADORABLE graphic novel, I really really enjoyed it and please read itttt. Full review here!
I have been wanting to read this one for AGES and I’m so glad I did, because I found it incredibly well-written and imaginative and I had EMOTIONS. Full review coming soon!
I am a huge fan of Laura Silverman’s debut, Girl Out of Water and her sophomore novel sounded perfect and it was, no pun intended, PERFECT. Really. I cried okay. Put this on your TBRs! Full review soon!
Buddy-read this with the amazing Taasia! I wanted to get to Emma Mills’ books and I’m so glad I did, this was such a fun, sweet read and I loved this group of friends. Full review soon!
I was kind of nervous to read this, because it has been quite a hyped book, but damn I was really surprised. I loved the characters, loved the world, the twists, the everything. DEFINITELY put this one on your radar. Full review soon!

I have decided to include a new mini-category for the time being with my reading progress overall. I am not a reading challenge kind of person, but I have taken on two fairly easy and nice challenges this month and I’m going to try and track them a little bit here.
- Goodreads Challenge: 7/60 books : on track!
- Year of The Asian Reading Challenge: 1/10 books: on track! (The Reader)

I was still supposed to write a lot more than I did this month. I thought I would catch up with everything, new year and new resolutions and everything and finally finish my current draft of my WIP, but… well, life happened and I just didn’t take the time to do so. I’m so thankful for my sister, because she’s the one kicking my ass for me to get back to it and, miracle of miracles, it actually worked a little bit by the end of the month. I’m glad it did because I have less than 1/3rd of the book to get through.
I am just so. slow.

Oookay so… I’m putting this new category right here to track my writing progress, too. I need to finish editing my WIP this year, I really do. I want to do more, so this is my way of guilt-tripping me into GETTING BACK TO WRITING.

January has been kind of a whirlwind on the blog. I had new projects for January: I kicked them off early in the month with my new author features and I am thrilled and honored and so, so very happy to see that people seem to have enjoyed it so far.
I also happened to have the best month ever, statistically on the blog and I’ve been so thankful for it all, your warm comments and support and visits. Thank you for being here and visiting my small corner of the internet, I feel like sobbing every now and then because of it. Thank you!!

Anyway here’s what happened this month on the blog, in case you missed it.

How was January for you? Did it feel just as endless as it did for me? I hope you had a great month and that positive things happened.
What was your favorite book this month? Do you think this will be a great reading year? Tell me everything in comments!

I think you graced that post of mine! <3 Yes, January is just so slow and ugh, not everything is under our control and that's super annoying. Just for Clicks has caught my attention because of you so thank you. And The Fever King because I loved the cover of that one and now I'm glad to know the characters are good too! I'm a super slow writer too so I can totally relate. Here's to hoping February would be better for us in terms of that 😀
Oh Fanna thank you so, so much, you’re way too sweet and thank you again for thinking of me for this post <3
I'm glad I'm not the only slow writer, here's to hoping we will get to the finish line ?
Thank you so much, I hope you'll have an amazing month <3
Literally, all of those are on my TBR to read! I have an ARC of Your Asked For Perfect and I recently got The Fever King through Prime Reads, can’t wait to read them both!
Ahhh yay that’s so exciting! I hope you’ll love both as much as I did 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment! <3
Why January is always such a long sluggish month will always be a mystery to me. And omg you read some great books that i’m dying to get to ?
Same here, I’m glad the month is finally over ?
I can’t wait for you to read all of these books, I’m especially eager to hear your thoughts on you asked for perfect 🙂
Thank you so much, Fadwa, I hope February will be amazing to you <3
Haha, very true about January lasting 12 years. It’s so cold and snowy. Congrats on having a good blogging month. I think mine was the opposite. Happy February!
Glad I’m not the only one that felt this way ? I hope that February will be a better blogging month for you! Thank you so much for your comment <3 <3
January was actually quite fast-paced for me, maybe because i had a week of exams and then second semester lectures started right away! I hope february isn’t as endless as january was for you 🙁
It was a great reading month and I’m hoping it stays that way, but I never know, maybe a reading slump is right around the corner, lurking (I hope not!) so we’ll see!
I wish you all the best this month Marie ! 🙂
Oh well that’s fantastic! I hope you’re enjoying your new lectures 🙂
Thank you so, so much, I hope you’ll have an amazing month, too <3
OOh my interest in The Reader has peaked – I definitely want to read it now! And i’m so glad you enjoyed The Fever King – it sounds like exactly what I want in a fantasy book and I really want to read it! January went quite okay for me? It went pretty slow and I’m glad it’s finally FEB! My fave book this month was probs Muse of Nightmares, I loved it so much! Great post, Marie!! Happy reading <3
YAY AHH I hope you’ll add The Reader to your TBR, I LOVED IT SO MUCH, it deserves way more hype than it’s getting 🙂
I’m glad to hear you liked Muse of Nightmares, I really need to get to this series someday….! 🙂
Thank you so much, I hope you’ll have a wonderful month as well! <3 <3
“someday” marie pls read strange the dreamer NOW ( i say as i haven’t read all the boos on my TBR that have been recommended to me more times than i can count)
Hahahaha, I will read it I promise, not sure when, there are toooo many books haha but I will 😀
January didn’t take that long to me. I finished the first draft of my WIP. That was good. Hopefully February won’t take so long for you.
Glad to hear it and wow, congratulations on finishing your draft, that’s awesome! I hope you’ll have a great month 🙂
Honestly, I thought my January flew by so fast. I’m sorry it was the other way around for you. It’s over now. I’m sure better days are coming. ? My favorite reads for this month are Looking for Alaska, Sadie, The Wicked King, Sky in the Deep, and The Kiss Thief. ? I’m 6 books ahead from my Goodreads challenge, so I think I’m doing pretty good so far. I’m looking for a book by an Asian author and an LGBTQA book to read for February. A couple of books on your read list caught my attention, so I’m going to look them up. ? Also, thank you for sharing posts from those other bloggers. I’m going to be stalking them after this. ?
I’m glad January wasn’t as long for you, that’s awesome! and ahhhh. I’m so happy you’ve read and loved Looking For Alaska, it is one of my favorite books <3
I hope you'll find some books to read that you love and if you need any more recommendations, please feel free to ask, I'm always happy if I can help 😀
I hope you'll have a wonderful month <3 and thank you so much for your sweet comment <3
Wow you do amazing wrap up posts!! I have so many books you read this month on my TBR still 🙂
Oh thank you so much!! I hope you’ll get to read some of these books soon and that you will love them 🙂
Aww thank you ❤️❤️
January is pretty much the worst month – between the weather and nothing really ever happening, it drags! I hope to get to Famous in a Small Town soon!
Ughhh yes, agree, I’m glad it’s over, waiting for spring now ?
I hope you’ll love Famous, it was such a good book 🙂
Have a wonderful month, Angela! <3
I don’t care what the calendar says, for me, February is always the longest month of the year. Congrats on a fantastic kick-off to 2019
Ohh well I hope this year will be an exception, fingers crossed 🙂
thank you for your comment! 🙂 <3
I really appreciate your wrap-ups, the Around the Blogsphere bit always touches on so many fantastic posts that I’ve missed! Hope February is a good month for you!
Oh thank you, Kelly, this makes me so, so happy <3 I hope you'll find posts and bloggers you love there 🙂
Have a wonderful February as well <3
Aaaa, the Fever King! It was one of the books on offer for Kindle First. I was torn between that another book and then went with this one, and now i’m super happy with my choice 🙂
Have a great february! Spring is almost here 🙂
AHHH that’s so great, I’m so happy you got it! I hope you’ll love it as much as I did 🙂
Thank you so much, Norrie, Happy february to you too <3
January felt pretty endless to me as well. November and December were all about submitting my grad school application, but January-February is just playing the waiting game, so there’s that.
Thank you so much for sharing all these links to other bloggers! I’ve just gotten back into blogging and I’m having trouble keeping up with blog hopping, so this was endlessly helpful to me. Plus I discovered new bloggers!
I hope February goes at a better pace for both of us! <3
Oh I’m sending you all the positive vibes, waiting for these kind of answers is always stressful. Sending you tons of love, I’m sure you’ll do great 🙂
I’m so, so happy this could be helpful, I hope you’ll find bloggers you love there 🙂
Thank you so much for your comment, Christine, wishing you all the best for February <3
It amuses me how January is literally the only month of the year that ends and has us all like “that felt like a MILLION years”. It’s so true though!
I am impressed by your January reads! You really got through a ton. I’m looking forward to your review of You Asked For Perfect – that one sounds so good.
There has to be something about starting a new year that makes it all… so slow, somehow? ?
Thank you so much, I’m kind of impressed and happy to have read so much! I hope you’ll love You Asked For Perfect, it was such a fantastic book <3
I’ve been looking forward to The Reader & The Fever King! Both are on my 2019 TBR! Can’t wait to check out your reviews for them ? Ahh so happy you could join my blog post Marie! ?? & Thank you so much for mentioning me in your wrap-up ???
I really enjoyed both of these books, I hope you’ll love them too 😀
Thank you again for having me, really, thank you! I hope you’ll have a fantastic February <3
Great wrap up! You had a good reading month! I’m glad you enjoyed famous in a small town! I’m planning to pick it up this month! Jan wasn’t really a great reading month for me but I’m hoping to read more books in Feb!
Hope you have a wonderful February! 🙂
Thank you so much, Raven! I hope you’ll love FAMOUS just as well 🙂 Have a wonderful month <3
Wow Marie! You had a great reading and blogging month ? You read so many amazing books. I can’t wait to read Just for Clicks and You asked for Perfect. I am sure I am going to love them too ?
I really hope winter goes soon and that you get some sunshine ?
Thank you so much, Sim, you’re too sweet! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Just For Clicks and You Asked For Perfect, both were amazing 🙂
Fabulous wrap-up sweetie! As always, I have been loving all of your content and I’m so glad to count you as a blogging friend <3 Thank you so much for sharing my first mental health post, you know how nervous I was about it and you really gave me a confidence boost!
Oh thank you Alex, you’re way too sweet, thank you SO much for your support and the love <3 I adored your mental health post and will be looking forward to reading more of them! <3
Great post! I look forward to your review of The Reader ?
Thank you so much! I can’t wait to post it, I really enjoyed this book A LOT 😀
Fantastic reading & blogging month Marie! I can completely relate to the January woes. My kids haven’t been to school since last Tuesday because it was so cold here. This means I’ve been trapped in my house for the majority of the week. Send help!
I’m interested in seeing your review for The Reader! I’ve had my eye on it for a long time, but have been on the fence about reading it.
Oh no that’s terrible! Here it is cold already, but I can’t imagine how it is where you live, I’ve seen some places in the US and… I’m freezing just seeing the images. Stay warm!! <3
I really enjoyed The Reader, I hope my review will give you the push you need 😀
Thank you so much for your comment, Amanda, I hope you'll have an amazing February <3
You had a really great blogging month Marie!!! And thank you for sharing all these links with us 😉
Thank you so much, Sophie! I hope you’ll have a great February 🙂
Aah I want to read You Asked For Perfect! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! The Fever King also sounds soooo interesting. And omg yes January lasted forever ? I’m happy you had such a great blogging month though! ❤️ I hope February is amazing for you!
I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling this way. Happy the month’s over, I hope February won’t be as long ahah 🙂
Thank you so much! I hope you’ll love You Asked For Perfect and The Fever King as much as I did! 🙂
Have a wonderful February, and thank you so much for your sweet comment <3 <3
January definitely felt endless to me. It seems like I’ve done so much and the month just wouldn’t end? In one hand, I’m grateful that it took this long, because this means I had more time to think before life restarts & I’m on auto-pilot all over again; on the other, I’m just so done with the anticipation of university and all, and I just want things to happen already. Like ripping off a bandaid.
It seems like you read a lot of amazing new releases in January, which is so great! I hope blogging allows me to stay more in time with them, but knowing me I’m sure I’ll continue to read only backlist books and then blog about them as if they’re new, hahah.
Hope you have an amazing February! And hopefully it will be a better writing month too! ?
Oh I get that feeling, these moments when you’re just waiting for things to finally get started are endless and so, so annoying. I hope things will go faster now and that you’ll have a good time at uni! <3
Thank you so, so much, you're so sweet Lais <3 I hope you'll have a wonderful February <3
January seems to be the month where everyone is rejuvenated and motivated to kick the year off with a bang. I found it had the opposite effect since you have the post-holiday blues to deal with and the thought of getting back into a routine was just so deflating. It sounds like you’ve had an incredibly productive month and I love all these new features that you’re introducing to the blog. Good luck with the writing. Keep at it, even if it’s just random notes on possible plot points cause every little thing helps.
I 200% agree with you! That’s exactly the feeling I get, every single year and it is so frustrating. I hope February will be better 🙂
Thank you so much, I’m so happy you’re enjoying the new feature, this means so much <3 I'm trying to keep on going, fingers crossed it works out okay 🙂
Thank you! <3
January was so long, I barely noticed the time passing and it was only because of my exams. It was a busy month, but I got some nice reading done! Seems like you had a nice reading and blogging month! ^^ I’m sure February will be just as good, and with more writing!! Thank you for sharing all those posts from the blogosphere, only I know how much I needed to read something like them (I’m gonna check them out!! 😛 )
Yay, I hope February will be a great reading month as well for you! 🙂 and I’m so happy you enjoy the posts, I hope you’ll find some new bloggers to love there 🙂
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I hope you’ll have an amazing February <3
ahhh look at you GO with that reading!! i’m so happy you loved just for clicks and famous in a small town (literally my favourite contemporary of the year so far!) the reader has been on my tbr for AGES as well and hearing that you loved it makes me want to bump it up!
great job on the progress youre making with your WIP, every bit counts (that’s what I keep telling myself through the sobs) I love your wrap ups so much, theyre always so fancy and organized (okay now im just describing your entire blog <3 )
I hope you have an amazing febuary! <3
Ahhhhhhh May The Reader was VERY VERY GOOD I hope you’ll give it a try ahh I really enjoyed it A LOT. <3
Thank you so much, you're too sweet! I'm trying to go on but it's so complicated sometimes… .but well, every word counts I guess. You can write too!! I'm rooting for you, I'll be your biggest cheeleader always <3
Aww, you're way too sweet thank you, I'm going to cry ahh. <3 thank you so much, I don't deserve you <3 <3
Happy February, Marie <3 I'm so happy you loved You Asked For Perfect, and I love it so much too. I read it because of you! It also makes me so happy to hear that you enjoyed The Fever King too. I've been pretty intimidated to read it because I've heard such great things but knowing that you also enjoyed makes me feel more confident. You're making such great progress on your challenges too 🙂
Even though you didn't write that much this month, I'm glad your sister was a great encouragement and the GIF you picked is perfect (I love Zootopia) <3 and YEEEE so happy you had your best blogging month this month because you totally deserve it. I'm looking forward to more author features~ Thank you so much for including my post!!! SO MUCH LOVE <3 Happy reading for February 🙂
I’m so glad you loved You Asked For Perfect, too! It was such a great and relatable book, I loved it. I cried, actually haha.
I hope you’ll enjoy The Fever King, it was such a good book. I was so nervous to read it as well, but I was pleasantly surprised 😀
Thank you so much, you’re too sweet, I hope that February will be amazing for you, Tiffany! <3 <3
Surprisingly January for me has been quick, though that’s just counting the days I’m off from classes AND work. When there’s classes and work, it’s LONGGG.
Hope you have a great February, Marie!
Oh it always seems to be that way, going way too quickly when you’re off class / work and way too slow when you’re at work haha 🙂
Thank you, Sophia! I hope you’ll have an amazing February <3
January felt a bit long, but nothing like last January. That seemed to never end! Regardless, I’m glad it’s a new month, and a short one too – so one step closer to Spring. LOL I really want to read You Asked for Perfect and The Fever King, so I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed both of those. I need to get back into my WIP too. It’s on my goals list for the year – to finish writing it and see how far I can get with it in terms of preparing to query. I didn’t write any in January, so February is the month!
-Lauren
http://www.shootingstarsmag.net
Yes yes yes, I agree, a step closer to spring, I’m all ready for spring now haha 🙂
Ahh yay, I hope you’ll love both of these books as much as I did 🙂
Best of luck for getting back to writing, it is so complicated to get back to it once you’ve stopped. You can do this though!! <3
I hope you'll have a lovely February <3
ohhh ugh yes, agreed. January is endless. I think it should give some of its days to February and even things out because I swear February goes WAY too fast. It’s like beginning-of-the-year whip-last here. ?Anyway!! I loved reading your wrap up and those mini reviews, eeep. I’m hoping to get Just For Clicks soon and I’m SO excited. Doubly so now that I know you loved it!?
Exactly haha I am just glad that endless month is finally over haha 🙂
Thank you so much, Cait, I hope you’ll love Just For Clicks 😀
Nice writing progress! I was doing pretty good last month too but my computer I was writing on died yesterday so all of January’s progress is kind of gone… so I’m kind of taking stock of the situation and trying to figure things out for what to work on at the moment.
Thanks for sharing my post!
Thank you so much! Oh no!! I’m so sorry to hear that, I hope that you’ll be able to catch up and that your inspiration won’t suffer from that. It’s always SO frustrating when that happens :/
You’re so welcome, it was a great post, I loved it <3
I hope you'll have a lovely month 🙂
marieeee!! this post was so good, and have i said i love your wrap-up style? (because i do)
i’ve heard so many good things about you asked for perfect, and it sounds really great! also, thanks for buddy reading famous with me, it was so fun!! sorry for going too fast ahaha
the reading challenge progress tracker seems like a fun idea! i was going to do that too but since I have a separate update page, it seemed redundant, so i ended up skipping that. there’s so many great posts that i need to read asap, gotta get to them! thank you for sharing my post, i’m glad you enjoyed it :)))
i hope february will be a great month for you! wishing you all the best, and here’s to more buddy reading in the future (if you’re down to, ofc)
happy reading!!
Awww thank you, you’re too sweet I’m so happy you enjoy my wrap-ups! <3
I can't wait for you to read you asked for perfect, this book was SO great I loved it so very much!! <3
You're so welcome, thank YOU for writing such a great post filled with amazing recommendations! <3 I hope that you'll have a wonderful February and yes to more buddy reading, 200% up for it!! <3 Happy reading to you too! <3
WOw, it looks like you had a great month for reading! AND ALSO – that Friends GIF about the sweaters is such a mood and I 100000% feel that way. Right now I am wearing at least four different layers. CURSE YOU, WINTER!!! But then again, I hate being hot in the Summer….so I guess it’s a lose/lose situation. Honestly I just live for Spring/Fall weather where it’s not too hot nor cold. In any case, thank you so much for linking up my post here! It means so much! 🙂
I’m glad I’m not the only one hahaha I’m not a fan of winter at all, I’m wearing too many layers and ughhhh so annoying haha.
You’re so welcome, thank YOU for writing such awesome posts always <3
I hope you'll have a great February, and thank you for being so sweet always <3
Luckily January wasn’t that endless for me, but I’m sorry it was for you Marie. Still at least it’s over now and you know February will go by quickly. It’s such a short month overall. 🙂
I can’t wait to see your review for The Fever King, I have that on my TBR list but I’m not quite on the same hype train everyone else seems to be on.
Congrats on being on track for your GR reading challenge, and I’m sure you’ll catch up on your writing soon too. I know the feeling though because I didn’t get nearly as much writing as I wanted to done, but this month is my month for sure! 🙂
Hopefully February will be filled with more amazing books, and I can’t wait to see more from your new author feature as well. 🙂
Great recap Marie, and I hope you have a brilliant February too. ❤️
I’m glad that you have The Fever King on your TBR, I really enjoyed that one – I was nervous because of all of the hype it’s been getting, but I ended up loving it 🙂
I hope you’ll get to write a lot this month and catch up a little bit, you can do this! I’ll be rooting for you <3
I hope you'll have a fantastic February <3 <3 Thank you so much for your comment and support, Beth <3
I’m sure based on the hype for it and that I’m not being swept away by the hype that I’ll end up loving it more than I think I will. 🙂
Thanks Marie, ❤️ hopefully we’ll both be able to get more writing done. It can be hard to find the time sometimes can’t it?
Thanks so much Marie, and that’s all right! 🙂 ❤️ ❤️
It really is hard, but we shouldn’t give up! 🙂 <3
January was both a combination of too fast and too slow. Time must be an illusion
Ahah yes, probably ?
Wonderful wrap-up, Marie! I totally feel you; January felt like it lasted FOREVER for me too, and I don’t think February will be any better for me tbh ? School has been overwhelmingly stressful lately (and will be for the rest of the semester); I honestly can’t wait until I graduate from high school and until it’s finally summer vacation, haha. ?
But anyway, I’m so glad you had such a great reading month! ? Oh my gosh I’m so happy you loved You Asked for Perfect, Famous in a Small Town, and The Fever King – I’m incredibly excited to read all three books!! I’m sure I’ll love them as much as you did. ? Oh, and I’m really excited to buddy read Foolish Hearts with you & the others in February! ? I read 7 books this month too, and my favorite was Our Year of Maybe – you know how much I loved that one ? I hope you’ll have an amazing February, Marie!
Thank you so much Dezzy, I’m so happy you enjoyed it <3
I'm so sorry that school has been stressful, I hope that things will get better and slow down a little bit, know that I am always here if you ever need to chat or want to rant about it all <3
I LOVEED these books so, so much and can't wait for you to read them, I hope you'll love them just as well. I am so, so excited to read more Emma Mills' this month with you, yay! <3
I hope that February will treat you well, sending you tons of love <3
Thank you so much Marie, you’re truly the sweetest ?
Oh always here for you Dezzy <3 <3
Lots of good books which sounds great!! And good luck with writing– I find it hard to make time for it especially when self doubt arises but I think it’s good to make time for it and remember that any progress is great!! ?
Have a great February!! ?
Thank you so much! It is hard to make time for it, especially when you’re a bit doubtful about it generally ? but I’m hoping to go on wih i ahah 🙂 thank you so much for your support! I hope you’ll have a great month as well <3
Yes I know!! Yes I hope you go on and enjoy it. ? you’re welcome– thank you ?
I just got The Fever King the other day and I can’t wait to read it. I am really looking forward to reading Just for Clicks. I think I’ll try to start that one next week. It’s always great when you start flying through books. I hope you have a great February and read a ton of amazing books. <3
YAY! I hope you’ll love both of these books as much as I did 🙂
Thank you, Ashley! I hope that February has been treating you kindly so far <3
I agree so much, January has lasted forever?! I looked back on the things I did at the beginning of this month, and I have to say, I can hardly remember them even happening anymore.?
I’m so excited to read your review of Just For Clicks! It looks adorable and I’m very happy you enjoyed it. I also can’t wait to hear your thoughts on You Asked for Perfect and Famous in a Small Town, both of these are highly anticipated books for me, and the fact that you loved them is getting me so excited. 🙂
Congratulations on your blogging successes, too, that’s so amazing! You deserve all the love in the world. <3

January was super fast for me ?. But yay for the reading month and also the writing.
And also.. I really need to add The Fever King to my list? For some reasons I didn’t give it any attention but my Twitter is invaded by it. Which is good.
But another yay for upcoming February!
I’m happy to hear that it didn’t last too long for you haha that’s great 😀
The Fever King is such a great book, really, it has been getting some hype over on twitter and honestly, it deserves it, I really loved it 😀
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I hope you’ll have a great February 🙂
Wow girl so happy you had a nice and lovely month!! <3 😀 And also for stats, you so deserved it though, the amount of time you put your work in supporting our blog and other blogs are heartmwarming <3 !!
Oh Trang thank you so, so, so much, this means so much ❤❤❤ I hope you’re having a wonderful February so far! ❤
January did indeed last for like 12 years. I don’t know how. I have no sense of time. First of all, thank you so much for sharing my post! I’m still so glad you found it helpful. ? Second of all, congrats on all your writing progress! You have more words at the end of January than you started with, so that’s definitely a win. I LOVE Emma Mills, and I totally forgot that she had a book coming out this year. I’m glad you enjoyed it — I can’t wait to check it out.
You’re so welcome, thank you for always writing such inspiring posts, I love them so much <3
I'm so happy I got to write a little bit this month and hope I'll manage to go on this month, too 🙂
Thank you so, so much Madeline! <3
you are ABSOLUTELY right, january lasted approximately 209349873 years. but uM SAME WITH WRITING GOALS. they went completely down the drain. oh my goshhh i’m so excited about ‘just for clicks’ ? good to know it’s a good read!
*gasps scandalously* HOW DID I NOT KNOW YOU DID A REVIEW OF A THOUSAND PERFECT NOTES, I MUST READDD
We need to create a support group and scream at each other to WRITE WORDS every now and then ??
Yees yes ahah I did a review really really late but I did iittt and i was such a good book ahh.
I hope you’re having a lovely month <3
January literally felt like 84 years long AND somehow like 2.58 seconds. I don’t even know how that happens, but there you go. yay for all the reading, and I am so glad you enjoyed Fever King! I just got a copy and am hoping to read it soon. Happy reading this month, Marie!
January always seems to be such a strange month ?
YAY I’m so happy to hear that, I can’t wait for you to read The Fever King, hope you’ll love it 🙂
Happy reading and have a lovely month <3
Thank you and same to you, sweets!
I always know where to start when I’m (gently) getting back into blog-hoping. Thank you for sharing your discoveries around the blogosphere, Marie! ? Wishing for you that February runs faster.
Oh you’re so, so, welcome, I hope you’ll find posts and bloggers you’ll love <3
I hope you'll have a wonderful month <3
Awww thanks for sharing my post, Marie! You’re the sweetest!! I totally agree with January feeling like it lasted forever! But, at the same time I can’t believe that’s over already. lol. And it has been so cold and rainy where I live this month! (It doesn’t help that my work forbids me from wearing jackets on the clock. My short sleeve shirt does not keep me warm in the slightest!). Haha!
Wishing you the best of Februaries!! ?
You’re so welcome, it was a GREAT post! 🙂
Oh no! That has to be so annoying – and so cold, too! I hope the weather warms up soon for you, sending you tons of love and wishing you the best month <3
January seemed to go by so slowly but when it was over I was like, wait, the year just started! It seems like overall you had a pretty successful month! I hope you can get back to working on your WIP more often, but >3000 is still an accomplishment! As long as you’re making progress that’s all that matters! <3
Oh thank you so much! I hope so, I’m trying to make progress little by little and just hoping not to give up haha 🙂
Thank you! I hope you’re having a wonderful February so far <3
I was sick for the full month of January, which honestly sucked, but weirdly I felt like the month went by extremely quickly. Either way, I’m so happy to be in the month of February. I feel like I’ve been on my blogging game, and it feels amazing. You already want me to read just for clicks, it seems like just the perfect book fro me. I’ve been doing a lot of reading recently, and so I’m going to be more consistent with my book posts! Great post and happy February Marie xxx

Have a fantastic month, love! xx
Looks and sounds like a wonderful month of reading and blogging to me! Bloom sounds like an awesome graphic novel too. Will have to keep an eye out for it. Thank you so much for the shout-out, Marie! Hope February will be an amazing month to your eyes! 😉
Thank you so much, Lashaan! I hope you’ll read Bloom, it was a fantastic graphic novel <3 I hope your February is amazing so far 🙂
I agree that Januarys are usually a drag and slow. My reading was good but I failed miserably at keeping up my blogging schedule. I loved several of your posts this months and I will be hopping to those links you have shared.
I hope that you’ll be able to blog a bit more this month, sometimes life gets in the way and we can’t help it. I hope you’ll find some blogs and posts you love there! Thank you so much for your sweet comment 🙂
So glad you read some amazing books (and loved them) in January, Marie! I’m definitely super excited to hear your thoughts on You Asked for Perfect, since I know you’ve been anticipating that one for so long, and also The Fever King! And congrats on writing this month as well — it may not have been as much as you wanted but progress is progress and you’re doing amazing <3
And aahh congrats on great stats this month, Marie!! You 100% deserve it (and more!), you're one of the best bloggers I know. And thank you so much for linking to my post, that means so much to me!!! I hope you have an amazing February — and I might have said this already but I haven't commented in a long time so I just wanted to say (again?) that your new blog header IS SO CUTE!!!! <3
