Good morning, good afternoon, good evening friends! How are you in this lovely Sunday? Today I’m changing things up a bit, because I have decided to reveal a bit about myself instead of writing the usual discussion or traveling post. Who said I couldn’t be surprising?
I was tagged by one of my favorite people ever, Kat @ Life & Other Disasters, and the lovely Melissa @ BookNerdMomo to answer these. Took quite some time to get through all of the tests, but I had lots of fun and think that the answers definitely got me right. So without further ado…
What is the meaning of my name?
Okay so here’s what I found online…
French cognate of Mary, which is derived from the Hebrew Miryām, a name of debated meaning. Many believe it to mean “sea of bitterness” or “sea of sorrow.” However, some sources cite the alternative definitions of “rebellion,” “wished-for child,” and “mistress or lady of the sea.” The name is borne in the Bible by the mother of Jesus, the son of God.
So apparently I’m a very bitter and rebellious person, also loves the sea or something. Read into this how you like it after all, hahaha. My name wasn’t chosen for its particular meaning, at all ahah.

I’m a Libra, which often means I’m sensitive and seek balance, beauty and sense of justice. It also says about me that I’m willing to sacrifice my own happiness for others’ which is very true, and that I take very long to make decisions which is also true. But well, I don’t really believe in horoscopes because I don’t trust that anyone born between September and November have the same trail of thoughts and values haha.

I don’t put any stock in horoscopes or most of these personality quizzes/things, either. The Myers-Briggs one is interesting, because that does tend to be pretty accurate. I got The Advocate, too, but it was still only about 90% on the mark, to be totally honest. 🙂
I guess they’re always easily figured out, which makes the whole thing a bit less entertaining – also even we can’t understand ourselves at times (I know I do) so I guess no amount of personality tests are going to give us the right answers to anything ahah 🙂 The Myers-Briggs test is really interesting, I agree 🙂 Thank you so much!
I was tagged for this one as well and I can’t wait to do it! I did the Myers-Briggs thing a while ago and it was scarily accurate, but I don’t remember what is was. ? I tend not to believe in horoscopes since most of the predictions are made up by people lol, but it’s fun to look at!

The Myer-Briggs personality test does seem to be scary accurate. While reading through mine I was actually shocked by how much it fit me. It’s weird how a little test of questions can equate to something that accurate. Yay for reading/writing learning preferences! I used to read things back to myself a ton too. I still do it but now I tend to read it out loud whereas I used to not do that. And I knew you would get writer for the career quiz! ?

I love the Myers-Briggs personality test! I’m not a huge believer but it’s always fun to see which traits I identify with, and which traits I don’t, and Myers-Briggs has always been the most accurate out of everything else I’ve taken. I think humans are much more complex than that, but hey, what’s the harm? 😉

I’ve never done a lot of these. On Meyers-Briggs I know I’m INTP, but I can’t remember what the T is for? The only letter that is actually STRONG is the I (introvert, go figure) and the rest I’m always close to 50/50. And yet … Every time I’ve taken that thing I’ve gotten the same results!)
I took the brain one just now. I got right-brained, which is funny since my academic background is ALL statistics and economics. Of course, I’m also BLOGGING at the moment, so maybe doing it in the middle of the workday might change things? I’m very curious, lol 🙂

Wow, Marie, we’re actually super similar. We’re both INFJs, Libras and we use both sides of brain equally. I don’t know what that means, but yay!
I don’t know exactly where I stand on my Hogwarts house. The first time I did the test, I ended up on Slytherin, which is my favorite Hogwarts house so I was thrilled! But I think I was a bit biased and answered the test picking the answers that matched Slytherin the most, hahah. The second time, though, I decided to go with my intuition and ended up on Ravenclaw. I do relate with a few aspects, but I also like Slytherin so much, so I don’t know where I do belong, hahah.
