Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Brokeandbookish. This week’s theme is a Top Ten Releases I Meant To Get To But Didn’t. Since 2015 was my first blogging year, well…needless to say, it was the year I added TONS of books to my TBR, and never managed to read them. But they are here, waiting patiently, and I WILL read them, because they seem too good to be left out and forgotten. Don’t forget to click on the title of the books to read their fabulous synopsis!
1 • Liars, Inc., Paula Stokes
This is one book I’ve been hearing TONS of great things about, and I really wanted to read it. Time lacked, though, and I kind of forgot it in my TBR. But now, after reading the synopsis again, I just want to order it now.
2 • Last Year’s Mistake, Gina Ciocca
I love contemporary, I love cute stories, and this one seems to be all of that. Bonus points for the before/after, and the alternating sections in which this book is told…it makes it even more interesting!.
3 • Pretending to be Erica, Michelle Painchaud
This book’s synopsis is so weird. It’s sort of a thriller, where a girl takes another girl’s place, and I’m kind of interested in seeing how that turns out. Plus, it’s a debut, and it’s gotten great reviews so…I want to read it even more.
4 • The Night We Said Yes, Lauren Gibaldi
Let’s keep on going a little bit with the contemporary, shall we?! This sweet debut has everything I’m supposed to love, AND there are flashbacks. I love flashbacks so much…let’s hope I love the book, too.
5 • The Rest of Us Just Live Here, Patrick Ness
Oh, hello, is that Patrick Ness again?! Funny story, I think I actually put this book on my TBR before even knowing ALL the mess that Patrick Ness brings into the bookish community. By mess, I mean craziness, I mean, everyone LOVES him. I do, too, even if I read just one book..this one will be the next, maybe?!..
6 • Dumplin‘, Julie Murphy
Go big or go home. I just love this saying, and I just love the synopsis of this story about a “fat” girl coming to terms with what she looks like. She’s just herself. In terms of trusting yourself, I think this book can go BIG, and not go home. So I can’t wait to read it.
7 • The Summer of Chasing Mermaids, Sarah Ockler
Another book praised by the book blogging community…and that’s why I added it to my TBR in the first place. That, and that it seems like a sweet story, with a different main character, because she’s mute. I can’t wait to read it.
8 • What we Left Behind, Robin Talley
Long distance relationships, the struggle of figuring out where you belong, and with who…those are questions some of us ask ourselves everyday. And look at that beautiful cover. I want to read that book.
9 • Never Always Sometimes, Ali Alsaid
I read only one book by Ali Alsaid, Let’s Get Lost, and I really enjoyed it. This book’s synopsis caught my attention, and, despite the mixed reviews, I’m very curious to get it.
10 • Material Girls, Elaine Dimopoulos
Culture, trends, fame, fashion…all of those themes appeal to me, and I’m really curious in knowing where this new author takes us in Material Girls, a dystopia story telling us that being in, or out, sometimes means way too much in our world.

The Rest of Us Just Live Here came in the mail today and I am so excited to read it, but there are a couple of books I have to get to first hahaha would you be in for a buddy read with Cristina for that one?
Ohhh YAY that’s awesome!! Well, I would LOVE to! I’m going to order books at the end of the week, because…well, I feel like I NEED to, haha :p so I’ll order that one for sure 😀
Cool! 🙂
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who hasn’t picked up The Rest Of Us Just Live Here and Dumplin’. Then again I missed out on most of the 2015 stars like Six of Crows, Winter and Illuminae!?
Well I’m so glad to hear I’m not alone, haha! I didn’t read all those hyped books of 2015 either…but well, maybe I should? I’m not even sure anymore, ahah! Let’s hope we can read all of those books soon 😀
Thank you for stopping by!! <3
I haven’t read any of the books in your list but I’m quite interested in Liar’s INC too. It’s been in my TBR list for a while but I haven’t gotten around to read it yet. Great List BTW! 😀
I fell in love with the synopsis of that book, it sounded so different and quite great! I hope we’ll both be able to read that one soon 😀 Thank you so much! <3
I’ve only heard of Never Always Sometimes (which I read – amazing! You should get to it sometime), and The Rest of Us Just Live Here
This got sent before I was done typing wow. Basically, I haven’t heard of a majority of these books but after reading the summaries, they sound so epic 😮
Haha, sometimes WordPress is doing WEIRD things. This happened to me, too, it’s just, weird, ahah!
THEY DO RIGHT?! I can’t wait to read those books. I can’t wait to have more time in the day to do so, too… :p
Thank you so much! <3
I keep seeing books I want to read on everyone’s lists. You have a bunch of great books listed here!
The struggle of TTT, it’s always the same thing : it makes our TBR grow and grow and GROW, like crazy 😮
Thank you so much! <3
So true!!!
Dumplin’ is funny, brave, and about so much more than her size. Happy reading!
So glad to hear that, I can’t wait to read it! 😀 Thank you!
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids became a favorite of mine last year. I looked at it in Goodreads recently and didn’t realize that it was such a hit or miss for some folks. But I still really hope you’ll love it, Marie! 🙂
I really think that book is going to go in my next book order -which will be, SOON, because I need to buy books lately, I’m not sure why, ahah-! It sounds so great, and knowing you loved it so much just makes me more impatient! 🙂 thank you Summer! <3
I really want to read Pretending to be Erica, The Night We Said Yes, The Rest of Us Just Live Here, and the Summer of Chasing Mermaids. So sad I never got to them in 2015! Dumplin’ was so good! 🙂
SO many good books were released this year, I hope we can read them all! 😀 I can’t wait to read Dumplin’. Thank you Ashley! <3
I want to read most of the books on your list. I got The Rest of Us Just Live Here on Christmas, so I should be reading it this year 😉
Oh yay!! I’m going to order that book very soon, I’m excited to read it! 😀 Thank you for your comment <3
😀
I wanted to read Pretending to be Erica so badly last year!! ARGH THERES JIST TO MANY BOOKS!
SO MANY BOOKS TO READ and so little time, whyyy. We need more hours in the day to read! Thank you for stopping by, Amy! <3
Like an extra 4 hours each day dedicated to reading only!
Ohhh, that would be PERFECT.
I am really excited about Dumplin’ after seeing all the hype. It should have made my list.
Well, there are so many books to talk about, can’t fit them all in a list of ten only 🙂 I hope we’ll both read and love that book as much as everyone did! 😀
Thank you!! <3
I really love your list. There are some pretty great books on there! I’ve post my own Top Ten list on my blog.
Thank you so much! Did you already read any of those? If so, which one should I start with? 😀
Thank you for stopping by! <3
You’re welcome! I haven’t read a book from your list yet, but if I were to choose one to start with, I would go with What We Left Behind. Just look at that cover!
You’re so right, that cover is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for the advice, maybe I’ll order that one soon then! 🙂
I did NOT at all like The Night We Said Yes, but I hope you enjoy it. Lukewarm about The Rest of Us Just Live Here, but the concept is interesting, I’ll give you that. 😛
And I also have Dumplin’ on my TTT. 🙂
Oh no, I’m so sad to hear that! 🙁 I hope I’ll like it better, I guess I’ll see! 🙂 Thank you!! <3
Definitely read Last Year’s Mistake. It was just a book filled with feels. Everywhere. I totally forgot about Pretending to be Erica, was so excited about it last year. Anyways, great list!
Aww, a book with feels, that’s definitely for me. I’m even more impatient to read it now! 😀 Thank you so much! <3
Dumplin’, The Night We Said Yes and The Rest of Us Just Live Here are all the anticipated ones in 2015 that I didn’t have time to get due to exams but I’m planning on borrowing them from the library when I settled down in my new home. :’D
But there are also Mosquitoland which I absolutely fell in love with the cover and as well as the synopsis, and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before which I really need to read ASAP >.<
Aww yay, well I’ll be looking forward to your reviews for those books! 😀 There are always SO many books to read, and so little time…I’ve heard mixed reviews about Mosquitoland, so I’m curious to see how you’ll like it! 😀
Thank you for stopping by! <3
same here and if possible we should do a buddy read together for one of the books above! 😀 I know right, my tbr list is constantly going up in numbers :O I never have enough time to read them! We need 36 hours in a day haha xD Hmm, I always tend to like the philosophical novels so I will see how I go.
No worries, great post by the way! 😀
Oh YES, we definitely should do that, that would be SO much fun! 😀
We really do, or maybe 100 hours even, that would be amazing. I need more reading during the day!
Thank you so much!! <3
PRETENDING TO BE ERICA sounds like a lot of fun!
It really does! I loved the synopsis, and I hope the story will be as fun as it seems! 😀
Thank you so much for stopping by! <3
You should read all of them! I also loved Let’s Get Lost, so I should really read Never Always Sometimes, and I got halfway through Mateiral girls before I had to return it, and I loved Pretending to be Erica, and I NEED to read The Rest of us Just Live here, and Dumplin’ sounds good. I might have to get some of these out of the library!
Aww, well, I can’t wait to read all those books, to! I really liked Let’s Get Lost, too, that’s why I want to read more from this author. I’ve heard that some people were disappointed with Never Always Sometimes, though, so I hope I won’t be. So many great books to read! 😀
Thank you so much!! <3
