We can count the months, the weeks until we’re in 2024, can you believe it? I certainly can’t.
As I always do on the blog, I’m sharing today some of my most anticipated YA books for 2024. The list isn’t that big, I think, probably because I’ve been a little absent on the blogosphere and haven’t found out about too many new books, just yet. Still, this list is a lovely mix of YA contemporary and YA mystery/thriller reads, so totally my brand. You’ll spot some favorite authors there, as well, so yay!
If you have any recommendations, let me know in comments? I’d love love LOVE to hear them!
Hope you enjoy this list ☀️

Most Anticipated YA Books For 2024

Heiress Takes All, Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
You all know by now I’m a huge, huge fan of this author duo. Them writing a YA mystery is like a dream come true, to be honest. About a former heiress, with a plan for revenge. Honestly, this was made for me and I am SO PUMPED.

The Atlas of Us, Kristin Dwyer
I’m ready for Kristin Dwyer to make me sob again. This is about Atlas, a grieving teenager joining a community service program aimed at rehabilitating trails in the Western Sierras. This sounds heartbreaking and beautiful and about finding your chosen family and just, crying and, yeah.

I Hope This Doesn’t Find You, Ann Liang
Forever obsessed with Ann Liang’s books. This upcoming YA contemporary is a To All The Boys kind of story, but with hate emails getting sent out and academic rivals and I’m so HERE for this book okay.

The Someday Daughter, Ellen O’Clover
I loved Ellen O’Clover’s debut, Seven Percent of Ro Devereux and can’t wait to read more from her. This is the story of Audrey and her mother, Camilla, an author famous for her self-help book about treating yourself the way you’d treat your own daughter. Invited to go on tour with her mother, Audrey’s determined to figure out how they fit in with each other, book aside…. this sounds like a lovely, lovely story and I can’t wait to read it!

The Girl in Question, Tess Sharpe
I LOVED The Girls I’ve Been so much, I was pumped to hear there would be a sequel! Nora hopes to spend a good summer with her friends, until her murderous stepdad, now free from prison, mistakes one of her friends for Nora and takes her hostage. I know this book will leave me out of breath and I can’t wait!

Girls Who Burn, M.K. Pagano
Really, really curious about this enemies to lovers YA thriller, where Addie’s forced to pair up with her childhood frenemy to find out her sister’s killer. Sounds exciting and twisty and I’m here for that kind of book lately!

Past, Present, Future, Rachel Lynn Solomon
You all know I’m a huge fan of Rachel Lynn Solomon’s work! I loved Today, Tonight, Tomorrow and was pumped to hear there would be a sequel! Set in the first year of college!! A long distance relationship!! I’m already obsessed with this and there aren’t enough exclamation points here okay!!!

In the Orbit of You, Ashley Schumacher
Okay first, I love this book cover. Second, this book is going to make me cry, I think. It’s about two former childhood friends, reunited thanks to a compatibility on a personality test and I feel the FEELINGS and emotions of this already.

Cancelled, Farrah Penn
Brynn’s thriving in her senior year… until a video of her hooking up with her former best friend’s boyfriend goes viral. The problem? It’s NOT her, on that video. With her best friends, Brynn is determined to find the culprit… but will this quest be worth losing everything? This sounds SO good and I’m so here for this book.

Where Sleeping Girls Lie, Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
Ace of Spades by this author blew my mind, I’m ready to be blown away, again! This is the story of Sade, new at her boarding school after being home-schooled for years. When her roommate disappears after her first night here, she starts investigating… Boarding school secrets? I’m absolutely HERE for this!

Last Seen Online, Lauren James
Lauren James writes some of the most unique books and I’m pumped for this new YA murder mystery! Apparently, it’s about a “long-forgotten fandom conspiracy theory and the lingering after-effects it has on a privileged bubble of high-society Hollywood teens”. And well, this sounds SO GOOD?!

The Perfect Guy Doesn’t Exist, Sophie Gonzales
I love Sophie Gonzales’ work so much. Ivy, a fanfic writer, suddenly brings Weston, one of her favorite TV show characters to life. When he claims to be her soulmate, problems start… this sounds like such a FUN read celebrating fanfic and I’m all HERE for that.

The King & The Crash, Kara McDowell
Kara McDowell is one of my favorite authors and The Prince and The Apocalypse left me wanting for more. Well, WE GOT MORE! No spoilers here, if you haven’t read the first book (go read it!), but this one promises more royalty romance, stranded on a tropical island, f e e e e e lings !!

I Wish You Would, Eva Des Lauriers
I’m already low-key obsessed with this YA contemporary book okay. It’s about Natalie and Ethan, ex best friends now that they almost ruined everything. When their school carries out the tradition of writing letters to themselves and… some of them get lost, they get together to find the lost letters, before it’s too late… and they get read by.. anyone, really. I know I’m going to FEEL and I am HERE for this!!
