February has been a bit complicated, I’d say. The month flew by – something I’m very happy about, because it means SPRING 🌷 is really on its way now and I JUST CAN’T WAIT to feel alive again. Sorry. That sounded dramatic, but also, true.
I’ve had a bit of a complicated time at work the past month, but thankfully it settled down, now. I’m grateful and hoping for the best, now.
Otherwise, I went on a lovely weekend getaway at the sea with some friends. While the weather was, well, February weather here in France (read: cold and windy), it was great to have a bit of a change of scenery.
MARCH is finally here and I’m really, really happy about that. I mean, SPRING 🌷 Longer days means better feelings in my head, I’m going on vacation in a couple of days and, yeah. Excited!

Monthly Reading Wrap-Up
February’s always short and it’s been a busy month, so I’m pretty happy to see I managed to finish reading 4 books this past month, yay! And my first 5-star read of the year is here!

DO I KNOW YOU ? ☂️ Started the month with a bang and my first 5-star read of the year. I adore Wibbroka’s books and… well, I think I might be falling for their adult books even more than their YA. I adored the romance, the characters, the setting, everything was just wonderful and I was hooked.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SOMETHING CERTAIN MAYBE ☂️ I love Sara Barnard’ work and was so eager to read this new release! I absolutely loved the premise -first year of college and all the messy feelings that goes along with it, but didn’t expect it to be quite this, emotional. Still, I enjoyed it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THE PRINCE AND THE APOCALYPSE ☂️ This was such a fun read, exactly what I’ve been looking for, lately! An American Girl and a Prince forced to pair up before the end of the world. Loved the travel, the characters, the twists and turns. Definitely recommending this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
STARS AND SMOKE ☂️ I really like Marie Lu’s books and this one particularily spoke to me. An international pop star disguising as a spy? Enemies to lovers feels? I had so much fun reading this and this was super entertaining. Exactly what I expected it to be. Recommending it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book Discoveries of The Month
I didn’t add many books to my TBR this past month… in fact, there’s only one new read I can share with you today!

AND DON’T LOOK BACK ☂️ I read and really enjoyed This Is What It Feels Like, a YA contemporary by this author. This book seems different, as in, it’s a thriller, but it sounds awesome.
It’s about Harlow. She spent her life with her mother, running away from something… but she has no idea what. Everytime, new personality, new name. When her mother’s fatally wounded in a car accident, she’ll slowly start trying to put the pieces of her mother’s past back together.

I’m on track so far, so yay!

I’m still writing the first draft of my Revenge WIP! I made some progress this month and officially crossed the 15k words, which is pretty nice to say… even if, I’ll admit it, I wish I could write faster than that.
Aside from my own frustration at myself for not being a faster writer, I’ve been having fun figuring this story out. While it’s still messy, I really like it, so… that’s what matters, right?

My hopes for now are to try and finish this first draft… I’m not going to say this month, because let’s be realistic, but in a couple of months that’d be amazing. Just, don’t give up, that’s my mantra.

Blogging has been alright, I’d say, this past month.
Sometimes I feel like I’m the only survivor here, sometimes I feel like I’m the one deserting it all, as well. Confusing feelings indeed. ANYWAY.
Even if, once again, I posted a bit less than usual, I’m pretty happy with the blog posts I wrote. I talked about writing, for once and had fun exploring this new topic. Who knows, I might write more about it sometime? If that’s something you’d enjoy?

It was love season, so obviously I had to make a blog post with 10 YA books to read for Valentine’s day.

I kind of wanted to start doing something a bit different here, so I talked about my writing! Yes! I shared How I use Notion for Writing as well as some of my favorite free templates.

Nyx was back on the blog (YAY!) to share some of her favorite YA books with the found family trope.

Yay for your first 5 star read of the year! And it sounds like you had a mostly great February, despite it being a short month! I’m all for Spring’s arrival, too. I need the warmth back in my life. Have a great March!
Thank you so much! I hope that March will be kind to you! 🥰
Hell yes! I’m all for welcoming spring 😀
I think we saw spring towards the end of the month and unfortunately spring doesn’t last long here, it will very soon be hot summer weather which is well better that the cold I guess so that’s a win. I’m glad to see your writing and reading progress! I don’t think you’re a slow writer, I’ve been working on something as well and it’s so freaking slow for me. trust me you’re still faster hehe. Reading your wrap-ups always motivates me to write myself <3
Also I really feel you on the being the lone survivor here and feeling like deserting at the same time. I don't see myself deserting for a long while but yeah blogging isn't a priority fo rme anymore.
Hope you have a lovely and productive March!
We NEED spring, badly aha! AND AH you’ve been working on something, I’m going to need DETAILS! If you feel like sharing, of course ahah, but this is so exciting! I believe in you! 🥰
Hope March will be kind to you, too! <3
Hehe yes yes I’m very excited about it. It’s a time loop about a girl who is depressed and grieving after her father’s death and she commits suicide. But then she’s stuck in a time loop so she has to figure out how to stop it. A bit morbid I guess but I’m having fun with it!
Ooooooh, this is very very intriguing!! I’m glad you’re having fun with it! 😀
“Sometimes I feel like I’m the only survivor here, sometimes I feel like I’m the one deserting it all, as well.” this!! perks of being a blogger for years and not being able to do as much as in the earlier years i guess.
hope you have a great March, Marie! yay for your vacation and for your spring haha.
Yes that’s definitely it, perks (or not) of keeping on blogging for so long ahah. Thank you so much! I hope March will be kind to you! 🥰
Happy March, Marie! I’m with you in hoping that the warmer weather will lift my spirits, as well. And I’m SO PROUD OF YOU and your writing progress! 15K is amazing!!
Nicole thank you so much, I appreciate you and your support means SO MUCH to me🥰 I hope that March will be great for you, sending you lots of love! <3 <3
Thank you, Marie!! 🥰
First, thank you so much for including my post in your wrap-up! As always, you are the best buddy a girl could wish for.
Also, I so feel you on this month flying by (January took forever in comparison), the work being what it is and yeah, not being as active? I think I always start to drop off the earth a bit in February. I’m glad you’re still working on your writing and every little bit counts. I’m rooting for you!!
Always here to support your amazing work! <3
Thank you so, so much for all of your support! I hope March will be wonderful to you <3
It sounds like you had a busy, yet productive month! Have fun on your vacation you have coming up! I can’t wait to go on one again, hopefully soon when the weather starts to look up. I’m so tired of all the snow we have here 😩 Anyways! I hope you have a beautiful March! ☀️💜
Oh no, not snow! I hope spring will hurry up your way!! <3 Wishing you all the very best for March <3
You and me both, we just got another dumping (probably the most we’ve gotten yet 😩) of snow… the good side, it’s melting fast! Thank you, you as well! 💞
Sounds like a good February! I hope your March is also fantastic <3 Congrats on the writing progress too
Thank you so, so much! Have a wonderful, wonderful month! <3
Looks like you had good reading and writing month. I don’t feel lone survivor yet but I hope we all keep each other motivated to be around for many more years. I hope March turns out even better.
I hope we’ll keep on blogging and loving it for years and years to come! <3 Wishing you the very best for this new month! <3
Glad to hear that you could go on a little getaway by the sea! 🥰 Something Certain Maybe sounds great, I really have to read more Sara Barnard books! I also should catch up on Marie Lu’s backlist 😄 Thank you so much for sharing my post 💕
Thank you so, so much Caro! I hope you’re having a wonderful month so far <3 <3
