Hello everyone! Happy June! It’s summer month over here and I couldn’t be more excited!
Last month was pretty good. I enjoyed a few days away in London with my sister and it was absolutely glorious!
I’m back on the blog today to talk about…fandom!
You know that one tv show or band or book that really struck a chord with you and that stays with you long after it’s finished ? Maybe it’s Friends, the Jonas Brothers or Harry Potter (all apply to me…) but it’s just so memorable that you feel intrinsically connected to it. I think we all got something we’re so totally in love with that it borders on obsession… Well, that’s fandom. And when you meet another person who’s just as obsessed as you are…that’s pretty much the icing on the cake!
So here’s a list of 10 awesome YA books featuring one or more of the many facets of fandom, enjoy!

I love this list! As someone who grew up in fandom spaces but never actively participated much (I only started writing my first fanfic this year at 23 lol), I love books about fandom. I’m particularly intrigued by The Brightsiders and Analee in Real Life!
Thank you so much! 😊
Yaaay! I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did 😁😁
I Was Born For This sounds awesome! I didn’t even know that book existed but now that I’m into the Heartstopper series, I definitely want to read more from Alice Oseman. Plus, as a boy band lover (One Direction took up most of my teen years), I think I’d really enjoy it. Thanks for the recommendation!
It IS awesome! 😁😁
I hope you’ll love it as much as I did!
You’re so welcome, thank you so muc for stopping by 😘
I adore this list Nyx! I’ve been part of fandom spaces since my early teens and books which are about fandom and portray it well have my entire heart. I think I’ve only read Eliza and her Monsters out of all the books on this list but I truly adored that book. I’m tempted to reread it now. Queens of Geek sounds good as well.
A trilogy you may enjoy which is about fandom is called A Song About A Girl by Chris Russell. I stumbled upon them in Waterstones years ago with the first two books, which I absolutely devoured and adored. It follows a girl who ends up becoming a photographer for this boy group, the dynamics are everything and there’s some fun back story too that unfolds throughout the series. They’re chunky books but I feel like you may enjoy them 😊
Aww, thank you so so much! I’m so glad 🥰🥰
Oh my god that sounds SO good! I’ll add it to my TBR right this second! Thank you so much for the rec! 😊
