After a hectic couple of months blogging and co-hosting the Book Blogger Awards, I have been feeling very, very heavily burned out of blogging. I’ve been questioning my blog, my place, my way of blogging and my worth as a book blogger as well, while I was blogging and even during this month-long break I’ve been taking because, you see, when you stop, it’s still there because a n x i e t y.
Anyway. I just want to state for the record as well that I’ve been having a blast co-hosting the awards, that I love blogging with all of my heart and miss it cruelly, that I feel so humbled and thankful and grateful and very imposter-syndrom-like as well for the awards nominations and words can’t express my love for this community, really. It’s just, anxiety doesn’t work this way and just doesn’t let me take a breath, sometimes.
I had been planning this blogging break after the awards for a little while and even thought about it before the awards had been set into place.
I had been planning to come back to blogging earlier, as well, but some of the plans I’ve had to relaunch went down the drain as my blogging move took a little (okay, A LONG) more time than anticipated.
See, I had this whole thing planned, I had my whole schedule figured out to relaunch this new, finally self-hosted blog, but well, all I could do was wait for my gigantic amount of content to be moved and I’m not such a patient person.

As I waited, my want to come back kind of went down the drain, too. My thoughts of “what if people don’t even care? What if people don’t even remember me?” came to stay for a little while.
As I waited and watched everyone on social media, on blogs, move on and keep on blogging, I just felt so… off. So separated from this whole world I’ve been a part of for so long. And God, I’ve only been gone for a MONTH and I’ve never really been too far away from my twitter timeline and what my favorites were doing.
You know what? I realize why I’ve been feeling so off, now. Not because I haven’t tweeted regularly or bookstagrammed because I’m somehow terrified of it anymore, either. Not because I haven’t been chatting regularly with everyone even if, yes, that has been taken into account.
I’ve been feeling off because I haven’t been blogging, really. Writing blog posts on a good old blog everyone deems to be not worthy enough, not good enough now compared to everything else.
You know what? I’ve been feeling off because book blogging, this, writing on a book blog, is part of who I am and I just want it back. Anxieties, impostor-syndrom, people-might-have-forgotten-about-me and all.
So, hi. I’m Marie and I created Drizzle & Hurricane Books almost 6 years ago now and I’m back from this mildly long, maybe not long at all for you, but endless for me, break from book blogging.

If you read everything here, thank you and let’s catch up now, because September has been a hell of a month.

September has been a little bit of a rollercoaster, both in real life and in my blogging life, as my endless introduction showed it.
I spent some time away early September, I spent some very stressful days, some very anxious days and cried for two weeks straight because anxiety and professional decisions are fun fun fun.
I celebrated 4 years at my current job this October 1st and I gave my notice on that day, too. Funny. Kind of. I know it’s a leap I need to take, an opportunity I need to take, too, but it’s still a little hard. October’s my last month at my current job and, in November, I’m starting something new, someplace both new and that I know very well for having studied there for 3 years.
I don’t know if it’s the right step, but I’m taking it. Please send me all the good vibes.
On a less serious note, October’s my birthday month! October 15th and I’m just really excited because my sister has the best birthday gifts ever.

THE STORYTELLER ☂️ I cried and that’s all you need to know. I really, really loved this series, its intricate world-building, its characters and relationships, everything. 200% recommending it.
MAJESTY ☂️ This was… a little bit of a disappointment? I loved American Royals and hoped for so, so much more, but this sequel, despite being an entertaining read overall, let me down, too.
THE TRUTH PROJECT ☂️ A beautiful surprise and a little gem, for sure. I fell for the stunning prose and the main characters’ journey to self-discovery. Look out for that one!
TODAY TONIGHT TOMORROW ☂️ A new favorite. Rachel Lynn Solomon is now one of my favorite authors. I loved this book with two rival overachievers on a scavenger hunt in Seattle. The feelings.
INSTANT KARMA ☂️ I enjoyed Marissa Meyer’s previous work and was looking forward to reading her in the contemporary genre (with a twist!), but… while I was entertained, I was also annoyed at times by the main character.

Goodreads challenge: 49/60 books!
Year of the Asian Reading Challenge: 6/10!

September honestly gave me this feeling of an endless walk through the desert, especially when it comes to writing. I’ve been consumed by a particular event I had been waiting on all month and will be consumed by it until November, really.
In case you missed it, I submitted my manuscript to Pitch Wars on September 27th, 10 a.m and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. I don’t know what’s going to happen and even if I want to know BADLY, I’m still very proud to just, well, have done this, because Marie a year ago would never have.

I’m hoping to write a little again this month, hopefully, continue something, anything??

Words written in September: 931

I talked about it in my endless introduction before while not mentioning it at all, so…
Welcome back to Drizzle & Hurricane Books, everyone.
I’m honored and excited and nervous as hell to introduce you all to my new self-hosted blog. It’s a move I’ve been wanting to take for a long time now (as in, years) and I’m excited to learn a lot and hopefully, do a lot more with this blog, too. Such as supporting and lifting up book bloggers more with brand new content, for instance.
What does this mean for you?
If you were already subscribed to my blog, you should still be subscribed to it, as my blog’s followers have been moved to this new platform. But please, if you can, take a minute to check that you still are subscribed. I’d be so saddened to see you go.
If you’re new here, WELCOME HI and I’m just so thrilled you’re here, thank you!

You can still subscribe to my blog on the blog’s sidebar, you can still follow my news and updates as I tweet about them and, well, I just hope you’ll end up enjoying my content. Thank you for being here x
Also, please, if you’re spotting something that DOES NOT WORK well for you, whether it’s commenting or navigating on the blog or anything else, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I’m very much in a learning phase of it all and hoping to have it all running smoothly, but before anything else I want YOU reading this blog to have it all running smoothly for you. So thank you for your feedback!
What does this mean for the blog, from now on?
Well…nothing and everything all at once. My goal here is still to write content that makes me happy and to try my best to focus on that, before anything else. I’d be lying if I reduced this new platform to this, though.
Ultimately, I am hoping with this blog to keep on the work I’ve always been the most passionate about, which is: supporting book bloggers. Recent (and evergreen, if you ask me) discussions about book bloggers’ work, book bloggers deserving more, WAY MORE for the incredible amount of work, time and passion book bloggers put into it all. With a new page (that’s not perfect, but hopefully will be useful) dedicated to book blogging resources, new blog posts coming soon and a new collaboration series with book bloggers I’m hoping to start soon, I hope to SCREAM about book bloggers even more and just, to put this beautiful community into the light it DESERVES.

Obviously, you can still expect my usual content, my book reviews, book discussions, blogging discussions as well.. I’m also hoping to expand a little bit my writing section again to reflect what I want to focus on more, personally, as well. Finally, Nyx (my sister and co-blogger, in case you didn’t know) will still provide her usual, amazing content and hopefully we will collaborate more on fun things, too!!
To sum it up: I AM EXCITED.

I feel so very sad and disappointed and frustrated to leaving this space empty, but… I needed the break. I’m going to read all of your blogs now, so see you soon!

How was your September? What were your favorite reads of this month? Give me all the recommendations!
Also please if you have any thoughts or comments about the blog, please let me know!

Happy early birthday! I hope the coming month is less stressful for you! And welcome back!
Thank you so, so much Briana!! I hope October has been kind to you so far 🙂
YES Welcome back!! I’m so happy you’re posting again and that you took a much deserved break.
It sounds like you did a lot in September, with reading, writing, the blog change and get a different job! I hope the enxt job will be fun and challenging in a good way 🙂
The blog looks good and so far, I haven’t found any troubles.
On another note, i recently bought Majesty because American Royals was so so good and I couldn’t wait. But I keep hearing it let people down and now I’m scared!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONTH TOO! 😀 I hope you have a great birthday! And a great rest of the month <3
Thank you so much, you’re so sweet. It has been a bit of a hectic month ahah, let’s hope so 🙂 and thank you so much for your feedback!
Ahh, well I hope you’ll enjoy it better than I did! I still had fun reading it, but… I expected more, unfortunately.
Thank you so much, you too 🙂
Marie!! So happy to see you on my feed again, I’ve missed you so much ?? Sometimes taking a bit time off to recharge is so important though I also understand your worries. I’m planning a hiatus in November because I start my Master course & I’m worried that without interacting as much as before, people will slowly move on ?
All the best luck with your new job, I hope everything goes well! Also congrats on submitting to Pitch Wars, it’s such a big and scary step, but so proud that you’ve done it ?
So happy to hear that you loved The Storyteller, I need to read it as well! You also made me excited for Today Tonight Tomorrow! … I’m a bit nervous about reding Instant Karma because I also feared that the main character would annoy me. September was actually a great reading month for me, as I found not one but two surprise favorites (Skyward & All Systems Red) and also loved The Silvered Serpents!
Last but not least your blog is looking AMAZING!! You did such a fantastic job going self-hosted ?
Thank you so much, Caro, I missed you and reading your posts SO much, I’m excited to be back! I’m glad that I’m not alone with these fears, I guess there’s not much we can do but hope and the ones that matter will always stay and support us, I always will support you! <3
Thank you so much for all of your support, it means the world, really <3
I'm so happy you had a great reading month, too, that's great! The ending of The Silvered Serpents BROKE ME. I'm not over it ahah.
THANK YOU ahh <3 <3
Good luck for whatever new you have planned. And I totally missed the update on Pitch wars. Congrats. And all the best
Thank you so, so much!! 🙂
Aww, welcome back, Marie! I’m glad you feel better now and I hope blogging will make you feel better instead of worse <3 I'm really excited for your new step in life and blogging; I know something has changed in your blog but I couldn't put my fingers on it until you mention that you're going self-hosted. I'm sending you all the good vibes, amazing things are coming your way! ?
Thank you, Tasya, I really hope so <3 <3 I hope you've been well, I can't wait to read what I've missed on your blog soon! :)
Happy early birthday Marie! Welcome back to blogging hehe, honestly a months break from blogging feels much longer, what with how fast things moves here. I’m sending you ALL the love and good vibes your way for your new job, you’ll be awesome, you’ve got this and even though it’s scary (anything unknown to me sets my anxious self off) we can’t continue to grow in the same place…if that makes sense? Doing new things is something I always shy away from, particularly anything involving people or speaking but I know one day I’ll have to face it because you can’t grow and evolve in your comfort zone :/ which is just plain rude. I also didn’t include any posts in my Sept wrap up because I was just so busy and had no energy to properly invest in blog hopping, I just didn’t. Anyway, I can’t wait to read all your wonderful posts <3 Have a wonderful October!
Clo thank you SO much for everything, really I feel so lucky to have you!! <3 It both went by quickly and painfully endlessly ahah, things move too fast in the community for sure.
I completely understand that, I feel the same way, it's hard to get out of your comfort zone, but sometimes it's just necessary to take that little step forward. Always here to boost you and here for you <3
Thank you!! <3
Weeee welcome back in the world of blogging 🙂 And welcome to the (imo more fun) world of hosting a blog by yourself 🙂 I haven’t read a lot in September thanks to a lot of uni stress but my favourite was “A Rogue of one’s own” by Evie Dunmore. Have a great October & birthday <3
Thank you, Kat! Aaahh more fun, that’s good I’m excited to know that ahah and to explore all the options:) I’m sorry to hear you’ve been under a lot of stress lately and really hope October will be better for you! Sending you all the love <3 and thank you!! <3
I’m so happy you’re finding your groove again, Marie! And congratulations on making the move to self-hosted!! It looks so clean and so streamlined and so, so gorgeous. I’m currently making the move to WordPress (from Blogger) and holy guacamole it’s a gargantuan task. I wish you all the best in October and am crossing my fingers you’re manuscript is picked!
Laura @BlueEyeBooks
Ahhh thank you so, so much, you’re so sweet!! ?? I can imagine, even being on the wordpress platform already, going self-hosted has been an adventure. I’m sending you ALL the good vibes and looking forward to seeing your new blog!
And thank you!! ?
Welcome back! The blog looks lovely and I am so glad your move went well! I know what you mean about that weird hiatus feeling though, I had it too and I kind of felt like people forgot about me when I came back but it was just the twitter algo being Mean. We’d never forget you and you deserved the break!
Ahh thank you so much! <3
It's a strange feeling, isn't it. Everything just moves so quickly, it's hard to feel part of it all again, but, well... that's also social media, it feels less harsh on book blogs, it moves less quickly ahah :)
Thank you so, so much!! <3
Welcome back to blogging!
Thank you so much, Amber! 🙂
ahhh, so glad to see my blogging fave back!! <3 the blog looks GORGEOUS, and im so exCITED for everything you're going to do! sending you lots and lots of love and ALL the good vibes, and I hope all the new changes in your life bring you nothing but good things!
a friendly reminder that you're amazing and we all love you so so much and we'll never ever forget you!! I'm glad you took the break you needed, and I'm just as glad to see you back <3
Ahhhh you’re going to make me all emotional now, thank you so, so much, Sara, for all of your support and love, this means so, SO much, really ?? thank you!!
I am so glad you’re back! I think it’s important to take a break sometimes, even when doing so makes you feel a bit anxious.
Congrats on going self hosted and your new job! Those both are big steps and I’m sure both will be amazing for you. It’s good to have a change from time to time, I think!
Happy birthday for the 15th! Have a wonderful day. I hope your birthday brings you many books ❤?
Thank you so, so much! Yes exactly. It’s been making me very anxious at times, but I also know I needed the break and need to be better at taking breaks, generally, aha 🙂
Thank you so much, fingers crossed everything will be good! ??
Happy birthday in advance! Mine is also this month on 14th. I also want to turn my blog to self hosted but I’m still researching and not sure which platform I should use or how different it is from the normal WP I’m using right now. I would like to know if you have any tips or things I should know before switching to self-hosted site.
AH it is today!! Well, it’s the 14th in my timezone, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! ? I hope you had an incredible day! and ahh, I get that, it’s such a big decision to make, but I’m sure you’ll do it right. I did a LOT of research online about bloggers and their self-hosting experience and have learned a lot with just asking my host, actually, too. I’m planning on writing about my whole experience soon ?
So happy to see you back, Marie, and congrats on going self-hosted! And happy early birthday 🙂
Mel! Thank you so, so much!! I hope you’ve been well ?
It’s so great that you are back, Marie! You really deserved a break and I’m looking forward to seeing what amazing posts you have coming up. Good luck too with your new job and with your writing. Hope you are having a lovely October so far! ?
Thank you so much Stephen, this means a lot! I hope October has been kind to you so far! 😀
It’s October 14 here so nearly your birthday but happy birthday in case I forget, anyway I love you so much Marie I’m so happy you’re back but also glad you took some time off for yourself and hope you keep putting yourself first, best of luck with the new job ahh!! I’ve heard that Majesty was quite the disappointment and tbh I don’t think I’ll read it now ? have an amazing October!!
Ahh thank you so much love, this means a lot ??? I completely understand and honestly… I’m sad to say that you can skip it, you won’t miss a thing haha. have a wonderful month <3
Happy early birthday and welcome back, Marie! I was so excited to see a new post from you on my feed, and can’t wait to see what this new chapter brings!
Ahh thank you so, so much Mary! ?
Welcome back Marie!! Sometimes blogging can be so discouraging, and when you leave for a little while, it can feel like forever! I want you to know that I really value your work, and your blog has been so helpful to me, especially when I was starting out blogging! ?
And happy early birthday!! Mine is actually just two days after yours, on the 17th, which is cool ?
I just read American Royals, and I really liked it. I don’t know if I’ll read Majesty though. It’s not that high up on my TBR, although I want to get to it eventually.
I hope that the rest of October goes well for you, and that you have a great birthday!!
Thank you so much oh this made my entire week, thank you ???? I’m so, so happy I could be useful in any way and I’m always here for anything if you ever have questions, too, if I can help more!
Ahh that’s amazing! Happy early birthday to you, too, yay for October babies ahha 🙂
I hope October will be kind to you, take care of yourself! <3
Welcome back!!! ?
It’s so good to see you back! It sounds like you have so much exciting stuff in the works! Also, congrats on self hosting, that’s exciting!
I’m SO happy to see you enjoyed the Storyteller, I knew you would, but I’m glad you did! That trilogy was so good!
I hope you have an amazing October, and a happy early birthday! ?❤️
Thank you so, so much Meghan!!
Oh The Storyteller BROKE me, I’m still not over it, I need emotional support ?
Thank you!! I hope you’ll have a wonderful month <3
You’re welcome!
Oh, aw! It was so so good though – I’m not one who keeps quotes but I wrote out some from that series and I have them in my journal.
Thank you! 💞
Marie I found this post not on the WP reader but because I googled your site today thinking that something was amiss as you didn’t show up on the WP reader anymore!!! I am glad that you are back and good luck with the new job!
My posts should show up on the reader, as well, but they might take a bit longer than before since I’m self-hosted now ? thank you for googling my tiny blog ahh you’re too sweet ? and thank you! I hope October will be lovely for you! <3
Welcome back Marie! I hope you enjoyed your break, blogging definitely feels like coming home to me too! Be kind to yourself lovely ? you do such an amazing job in the book community and we’re so grateful to have you here, whether it’s as little or as much as you can give!
Thank you so much, Jeann, this means so much, thank you!! ??

Ahh thank you, so happy to be back <3 <3 I hope you'll have a wonderful month!!
Welcome back to blogging! I’m glad your move to self-hosting went well, the blog looks great! I had a bit of a blog change myself recently, as I switched from my old blog (Boats Against The Current) to a new one, and starting completely over has been a bit scary!
And that’s so exciting about your new job! Congratulations! I hope it all goes well.
And best of luck with Pitch Wars. I’ve been thinking about submitting to that for the last couple of years too, but I never seem to actually have a manuscript ready when it comes around. Hopefully I’ll be ready next year!
I hope you’ve been having a great October so far, and have an amazing birthday!
Ahh thank you so much Laura! ? Ohhh that’s lovely, I can’t wait to check out your brand new blog, this is exciting!
I hope you’ll be able to submit your work, even if nothing happens it’s still good to know you can put yourself out there… At least it is for me ahah 🙂
Thank you so much! I hope October has been kind to you so far 🙂
Um hello queen so glad you’re back and feeling better. I’ve missed you xoxo. Literally went looking for you because I realised I hadn’t seen you in a while and saw construction and I was OH ahah. Love you Marie!!! And am OBSESSED with the blog redesign omg it looks AMAZING.
Also so glad the move to self hosted went well!! Really it looks great!! Feel free to hmu if you have any qs about going self-hosted as I have googled to the ends of the earth haha.
Glad you read some books though!! But ah sad Instant Karma was so irritating, I’ve been interested in it but also super skeptical welp. Also yay for all the writing and I hope Pitch Wars goes so so well (which I’m positive it will)
Sending all the love and so excited for this new path <3<3
Ahhh thank you so much, I missed you too!! ?? I’m so, so happy you enjoy the new design, thank you!! and oh I’ll keep that in mind for sure, it’s a learning process for sure and it’s a bit stressful ahah?
Thank you for all of your support, it means SO MUCH <3
Welcome back, Marie! I missed your posts, but your reasons for taking a break are so relatable and understandable. Good for you for taking a chance on a new job! I really admire that – it’s so hard to leave something stable and try something new.
Thank you so much Angela! And thank you, it was a complicated decision to make, fingers crossed it will be good! ?
hi and welcome back Marie! I’ve really missed your posts! <3
and omg I just read Today Tonight Tomorrow and it was so great!!1 It reminded me why exactly I loved the rivals to lovers trope so much!
Ahh thank you so much! I’m so happy you loved this book, it was such a fantastic read <3
Welcome back! I’m quite new to the blogging community (at least the international) but I love it so much. Your discussion posts are amazing, I have enjoyed every I’ve read so far.
I hope you have a lovely birthday! And good luck with your new job, sending good vibes!
OH YES another international blogger, it’s SO great to meet you ? I’m so, so happy you’ve been enjoying my content, thank you, this means so much!

Welcome back Marie!! Your blog is looking beautiful and I’m so happy to see you had a good reading month — I hope October is a bit less stressful for you though! I’m so excited to see where you’re going to take this blog and I know whatever you end up doing, it’ll be amazing! Thank you for this post and everything else you do in this community… I appreciate you so, so much 💕
Thank you so much Abby!! <3 Let's hope I can relax, even if... I have a hard time doing just that ahah :)
Thank you, you're too sweet 😭🥺
Ahhh welcome back, Marie! I’ve missed your posts! I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been having a rough time — that imposter syndrome is a bitch, huh? — but I do hope you know that I (and SO many others) always love reading your words, and I hope that blogging can help you feel more like yourself again <3
Also, happy birthday!!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed Today Tonight Tomorrow so much because it’s sitting on my shelf right now and I’m quite excited to pick it up. (Also it takes place in my area!)
Again, welcome back and congrats on the new self-hosted blog 😀 Hope you have a lovely rest of your October! <3
Margaret AHH HI I missed you a lot <3 thank you so much, this means the world to read, really 😭🥺
I can't wait for you to read Today Tonight Tomorrow, it was such an amazing read and ahh I loved the Seattle setting SO much <3
First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
And welcome back! Congratulations on going self-hosted! I’ve been thinking about making the move myself but I’m honestly just a bit lazy and don’t want to do it right now. Maybe next year.
Looking forward to all your content now that you’re back!
Ahh thank you!! I get that. I have been a bit lazy for years and.. well to be honest with you, I regretted it a bit because I have accumulated SO. MUCH. CONTENT 😂😂 but I hope you’ll take that step sometime if you feel like it!
Thank you!!
Omg Marie this is so exciting! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Your blog is looking lovely, and it’s still very much you. When I landed here I did notice there was something a little different, and then as I read your post I realized it was your new self hosted blog♥
Very much looking forward to all the things you are planning!
AHHHHH MARIE!!! Welcome back!! I missed you and your writing and your whole self so much!! 💖💖 I hope you’ve been doing better lately! I’m so excited for the upcoming content (that bloggers collab especially 👀 thank you so so much for all the work you do, you’re amazing 🥰)
MARTA thank you so, so much, you’re so sweet, thank you!! <3 <3
Welcome back Marie! ❤️ I have missed seeing your posts. Taking a break from blogging from time to time is healthy, sometimes you just need time to recharge your batteries. 🙂
Good luck with your new job in the future, I hope that everything goes well for you. 🥰
Oh thank you so, soo much Anna!! <3 <3
I’m extremely late, but I’m so glad to have you back in the blogosphere, Marie! I doubt anyone has forgotten you – though I definitely understand feeling that way – because you and your blog are incredible. 🥺 Massive respect for co-hosting the awards – I honestly can’t imagine how time-consuming that must have been, but thanks so much for hosting it. It filled the blogging world with so much love and positivity, I’m already looking forward to next year. 🙂
Another thing I’m really looking forward to is your usual and your future content!! Also, I’m excited for Today Tonight Tomorrow, because I’ve heard literally nothing but excellent things about it – so glad to know you loved it too. Congrats on submitting one of your manuscript to Pitch Wars, in on itself that’s something to be proud of. 😀 Hope your October has been nice so far.
AHH 🥺😭😭 thank you so, so much, I’m so happy you enjoyed the awards, it was so humbling to be able to host them, too and I am looking forward to it again, too!
Ahh thank you! I can’t wait to properly get back into the groove of it all. I hope you’ll have a beautiful October! <3
your new self-hosted blog looks so beautiful, marie!! and i really relate to what you said about feeling so distant from the online world — lacking the energy/inspiration to write blog posts and comment on posts makes me feel like a part of myself is missing too 😭 but i’m so happy that you’re back, you know i missed you!! <3 wishing you all the luck with your new job, and i'm still so proud of you for submitting to pitch wars 💘💘
Ah thank you!! So happy you like it 🥺 I’m glad you understand that feeling, too, it’s so frustrating. Like, you know you need that step back, but you also know something’s cruelly missing while you’re away and.. it’s so complicated, these mixed feelings 😭
thank you so much 🥺 I hope your month has been kind to you so far <3
omg i missed you! WELCOME BACK:) I’m sorry to hear that your break wasn’t really carefree or anxiety-free (oh, the life of living with anxiety). I’m so excited for you to start your new job, I think it’s going to be a step in the right direction. The right direction of what exactly…i’m not entirely sure! I guess the right direction in your journey of life. also, i’m two days late, but HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! I’ve been actually trying to learn french during this quarantine period, and am constantly thinking of you because of that (sorry if that came off weird? aha). I’m so excited to see what you cook up with your blog. No matter what you write, I know I’m going to be excited to read all of that content up xxx
Melina | http://www.melinaelisa.com
Oh Melina thank you so much, I needed to hear these words these days as I’m trying to tell myself I’m taking a step in the right direction. Thank you 🥺
AHH that’s such a great thing! I hope you’ve been making progress and if you need any help or someone to chat with in French, know that I am here <3
Thank you so much for your constant support, it means the world <3
I don’t think i’m at the level of french where I could have a long conversation, but I am getting better and practicing! If you recommend any french children’s tv shows I can watch, I would appreciate it 🙂 x
Ahh well that’s still great! I’m so happy you’re progressing and that’s all that matters! Hmm here are some I loved watching as a kid: Les Aventures de Tintin (adventure), Code Lyoko (adventure, sci-fi), Les Malheurs de Sophie (a bit depressing… but also wonderful!), Titeuf (made me laugh!), Martin Mystère (adventure with some monsters!) :). There’s also this excellent French series on Netflix called The Hook Up Plan (called, Plan Coeur, en français) and it’s SO good! I think you’d really enjoy it and you can watch it in French 😀
Belated Happy Birthday, Marie! I also celebrated my birthday this month on Oct 10th. It’s good to have you back! Sending all the good vibes your way😊
Ahh belated happy birthday to you! I hope you had a lovely day <3 and thank you so much!
I’m sorry I’m late, but Happy Birthday, Marie! 😊 I’m so glad you’re back, and I can’t wait to read your upcoming posts!
I’m so so excited to see what happens with your new collaboration series featuring book bloggers! Thank you so much for planning that, it sounds like an amazing way to highlight the great and underrated bloggers in our community! 💖
And it’s absolutely amazing that you submitted to Pitch Wars! I thought about doing it this year, but my WIP was not done and I decided I would rather take my time on it than try to push it out before the PW deadline. Good luck! 💖
Ahh no need to apologize at all, thank you so, so much Xandra <3

I’m late to welcome you back because own my own (unexpected) break, but WELCOME BACK!! 🥳🎉 I’ve missed reading your posts so much so I can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store next! 😀
Thank you so, so much Louise!! <3 <3 <3
I’m glad you’re back, Marie! <3 I know I haven’t been as active this year as I hoped to be, it’s been a crazy year. Sometimes just a break or stepping back a little bit helps. Happy to see your posts again though. 🙂
Thank you so much Ashley! It’s good to step back every once in a while to come refreshed <3
