Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Brokeandbookish. This week’s theme is Ten Books To Read If You’re In The Mood For … Since you all know by now I’m a bit crazy, well, I decided to go for that theme. What do I mean, by crazy, you’re asking? Well, something that will BLOW your mind. Something that will make you stand on the edge of your seat. Something that will make you think : WHAT KIND OF IMAGINATION DO AUTHORS HAVE? Don’t forget to click on the title of the books to read their fabulous synopsis!
1 • More Than This, Patrick Ness
I’m sorry, I won’t NOT talk about this book while I choose the perfect topic to do so. Because that book is all kinds of crazy. And I won’t say more because I don’t want to spoil you, so JUST READ IT ALREADY.
2 • The Accident Season, Moïra Fowley-Doyle
Going in another kind of crazy with that one: crazy WEIRD. Because right from the synopsis, you know this is all going to be weird. And when you start reading well, the feeling doesn’t go away. But it’s GOOD.
3 • Panic, Lauren Oliver
That book took me on kind of a crazy ride, too, because of the whole “Panic” game. If you ask me, those are kind of crazy dares…and it’s a whole lot of fun to read, even if I wouldn’t volonteer. Sorry, Katniss Everdeen, the place’s yours. Won’t be harder than The Hunger Games, I promise you.
4 • The Mara Dyer Series, Michelle Hodkin
I’m telling you, that series, that author…it just takes crazy to a whole other level. I mean, you don’t know what’s real and what’s not, what’s happening and what’s just, well…COMPLETELY INSANE.
5 • Sanctuary Bay, Laura J. Burns & Melinda Metz
This was one of my favorite discoveries from last year. I LOVED LOVED LOVED IT. The suspense, the slightly creepy atmosphere, all was there. And hm, everything happening just made my brain completely mad.
6 • They All Fall Down, Roxanne St. Clair
This one’s a little less famous, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be read. A suspenseful thriller, a page-turner, that has its flaws, but it was definitely a thrilling ride.
7 • Glass Sword, Victoria Aveyard
I don’t even know where to start with that one. Red Queen was pretty crazy, okay, and with that ENDING… Glass Sword has its flaws, and it annoyed me a lot, at times, I’ll admit it. But with, once again, THAT ENDING, I’ll have to put it on the crazy books with a crazy author that likes to torture us list..
8 • Ten Thousand Skies Above You, Claudia Gray
AHHHH. That’s all. I could just scream, and leave it at that. Because from twists and turns and dark corners and DAMN CLIFFHANGER, well that second book in the trilogy was completely insane.
9 • Get Even, Gretchen McNeil
If you like Pretty Little Liars, or a fast-read with some different POV and a mystery on your shoulders, then do read that one. It’s got its share of craziness, so you should probably enjoy it .
10 • Allegiant, Veronica Roth
I will just leave the title there, and that’s all. Those of you who’ve read it, or have been spoiled (I’m so sorry, I feel like EVERYONE knows what happens in that book), well…you just know what crazy feels like.
The only book I can say was a crazy read was Amnesia Moon. Made my head hurt.

Put it this way, I’m pretty sure if you’re dizzy drunk while reading it, it’ll seem a lot more logical than reading it sober.

Hahahaha, okay, well, I’ll make sure to remember that :p

The Accident Season was SO GOOD. It did take me a while to get into it, mainly because it was so weird. But I grew to love the characters and I ended up loving the book. And yeah, that Allegiant ending was INSANE. I almost threw the book across the room, but it was on my Kindle, so that would have been bad. Ha. Great list.

YES, it was SO weird, right? I remember starting the book and wondering what I was going into. But, just like you, I ended up loving it 😀 Hahaha, that would have been very bad for your Kindle indeed, haha, but that ending…I could’ve thrown my book, too, :p
Thank you so much for stopping by, Cynthia! 🙂

There are so many on this list that I want to read! And you’re right on with the ones I have. The only ones I would add would be Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn and The Ghosts of Heaven by Marcus Sedgwick. Both of those blew my mind.

Ohh, I hope you’ll read them all, they are all SO GREAT! 😀 I need to check out those books you’re talking about, then, if they blew your mind, they have to be good! 😀 Thank you so much! ❤

I’ve been really curious about Claudia Gray’s series, plus the covers are just beautiful. I still need to read Allegiant still, OMG!! I’m so behind on so many series. I’ve been constantly hearing that I’m going to hate the ending.

oh, you definitely should check it out, the covers are beautiful, and the inside is quite great, too, you’re in for a thrilling ride! 😀 OHH yes you do! I hope you didn’t get spoiled about the ending, and I won’t do that to you, it would be too cruel. Some people hated it, some others loved it, and there’s me, in the middle, haha 🙂 I hope you’ll enjoy! Thank you !! 🙂

Allegiant… I just… *flips table*

THERE’S SO MANY HERE THAT I’M DYING TO READ!! I’ve heard so much about They All Fall Down, and that cover is so intriguing, so I really want to read it. Panic sounds amazing too! TTSABY is on my to-buy list… there’s so many books, but that cover is just beautiful! I hope I’ll get to it soon!
Great list – thanks for sharing some of these recommendations!

Glass Sword was one crazy ride, for sure! I hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂 And yes, Panic is a great book, a little less famous, ahah, but it’s great. Once again, I would recommend ALL of Lauren Oliver’s books, I love her so much 🙂
Thank you! ❤

Oh no, Marie, I haven’t read any book on this list! 😛
I’m glad to see that you enjoyed Glass Sword, though (did you?) — most if not all of the reviews I’ve read seem to sway the other way.

Ohh nooo, well, it’s time to make your TBR grow, then 😉
I enjoyed it, yes, I found it annoying at times, I’ll admit it, but for the most part it was still an entertaining read! 😀 I feel like everyone has such strong feelings about it, but for me, it wasn’t the “worst” book. It wasn’t the best, and I have lots of points I would have liked to be better in this book, but it was still okay 🙂

I’m definitely going to have to put some of these in my to-read list. I need more books that completely shock me. Obviously Patrick Ness is amazing, I need to read more of his work, and I definitely already have the Firebird books on my to-read list as well as Glass Sword, but you’ve given me a few others to look up as well now 🙂 Panic sounds really interesting, and I’ve heard good things about the author as well!
Great picks for this week 😀

Oh yes, Patrick Ness is really good! Which books of his did you read already? The Firebird series is getting crazier, one book at a time, I think. I enjoyed the first one a lot, and the second one was a complete roller coaster, head up and down and just so many twists and turns, it was CRAZY, but I loved it!
Ohh, if you haven’t read any of Lauren Oliver’s books, you definitely should! She’s one of my favorites 😀
Thank you so much Beth! ❤

So far I’ve read The Rest of Us Just Live Here and A Monster Calls, both were amazing but I am excited to get to more of his books. I’ve only read the first Fire it’s book at the moment but I do want to go back to the series, I’ve heard great things about the second one but I kind of want to wait until closer to the third books release before reading it! The covers are so gorgeous!
I’ll definitely put some of her books on my to-read list then, thanks for the recommendation Marie 🙂

Ohh, well you should check out More Than This, it was my first read from him, and I fell in love with it. It was CRAZY ahah, like I said, and I think everyone should read it 🙂
You’re welcome, it makes me so happy if I can recommend some good books to you 😀

It’s definitely in my to-read list now, I’ve got pretty much all of Patrick Ness’s books on there, it just may take me a while to get around to them all 🙂
Oh I’m the same, there’s nothing better than recommending one of your favourite books to someone and then them living it just as much! And I’m always looking for more books to read, and books that are branching out a little from my comfort genre 😀

There’s always so many books to read, and so little time :p And it’s always so great to share and talk about books with other bookworms, it really expands our horizon, I think, well, it certainly made me read lots of different books since I started blogging 😀

There’s always so many amazing new books to read as well! As soon as you finish one another one is released, not that I’m complaining of course 😀
Oh I completely agree, the genres I read have definitely expanded since blogging, before I never used to read contemporary or even sci-fi books, or if I did it was the rare one or two. Now I’ve got a lot more contemporary on my to-read list, and even some other genres I picked up along the way 🙂

Oh yes, I wouldn’t complain, either, I mean, this way, we can always have something to read :p
I think that’s what’s so great about book blogging: it definitely makes us want to read more books, and grow as a reader. I love it so much! 😀

Oh god yes, I know it’s impossible but sometimes I wonder what would happen if I really had nothing more to read?! What would I do with all my spare time?!
I completely agree, there are so many books I discovered through blogging but also books that I probably wouldn’t have picked up without seeing them first on WordPress that have become favourites of mine 😀

Oh I have NO idea, sometimes I wonder about that, too, and just, what would I do without books?! I just can’t imagine life without books, haha. I guess it’s when you start thinking like this, than you realize you’re a crazy bookworm, haha :p

There’s always re-reads I guess 😀 but it’s not something I think we’ll ever have to worry about just something I tend to think about. I always talk about my to-read list being too long but I’ll never really get through it. I’m always going to add new books because there’s always going to be new books released 🙂
LikeLiked by 1 person
Ahah, yes, it’s a never-ending cycle! And I guess that’s not too bad, because, this way, in a big TBR, you realize that you end up reading the books you’re really, REALLY excited about 😀

Ah I’m not complaining, it’s nice in a way to have a load of books to look forwards to, even though I do complain about the wait something 🙂
And yes, in constantly moving books around my TBR list, or even sometimes starting a book that wasn’t on there at all 😀

Yes it’s so good, there’s always some book to be crazy about, haha :p

This is the coolest list ever. XD I need to add all these to my TBR because crazy books are some of my favorite. You’re right – this list wouldn’t be complete without More than This. That book is absolutely insane. Also, the Mara Dyer trilogy (especially the first book) still gives me chills ever since I read the corridor scene.

Aww thank you Aimal, you’re too sweet! ❤ Oh yes, More than This is crazy, I think my brain was tired from thinking so much about that book, ahah. The Mara Dyer series is so, so good, and chilling, I can't wait to read the book about Noah Shaw! 😀
Thank you so much !! ❤
