Hi everyone! How are you in this lovely Wednesday?! I hope you’re having a great beginning of the week so far. Obviously, kind of busy, since… Christmas is only TWO days away, yay!
I thought I’d get a head start on the Christmas celebrations, and come to you today with a little book tag! Thanks to one of the sweetest girl I’ve met thanks to the book blogging community, Kat @Ā Life & Other Disasters, I will spread some Christmas joy! If you’re not into that, well, no worries…because I will be talking about what we ALL love… BOOKS, obviously.
1.Ā ANTICIPATIONĀ ?Ā The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?
If you don’t know that yet, I LOVE all of Lauren Oliver’s books. I found out only recently that she’s writing what sounds like another FANTASTIC book, Ā Replica coming out next September. Do I really need to say how impatient I am for this?!
2. Christmas Songs & CarolsĀ ?Ā What book or author can you not help but sing its praises?
Hm, I think I will go with Tahereh Mafi for that
one, because what kind of INCREDIBLE writing is that. I will never get over how beautiful it is, and how it makes me FEEL things. I know it’s not the kind of writing everyone loves, but I really loved it. On great, and different writing, I could go with MoĆÆra Fowley-Doyle, too. I read her debut a few weeks ago, and I’m still not over it. So poetic, so wonderfully weird.
3. Gingerbread HousesĀ ?Ā What book or series has wonderful world building?
I think that Scott Westerfeld did a pretty incredible job with theĀ UgliesĀ series. But maybe it’s because it’s one of the first dystopian books I’ve read, that I’m saying that. Anyways, I just really love the world he imagined and created, with all the different layers of society and all the secrets. It was really, REALLY good.
4. A Christmas CarolĀ ?Ā Favorite classic or one that you want to read?
Okay, I will admit it, I’m not a classics reader, AT ALL. I haven’t read many classics, so I struggled a while to answer that question. I think I will go with Lord of The Flies by William Golding because I remember it kind of left a mark on me after reading it. That was so long ago, though!
5. Christmas SweetsĀ ?Ā What book would you love to receive for Christmas?
Oh, there are SO many books I want, and if you’d like to see a couple of them, included with some other gifts I would love to receive this Christmas, check out my yesterday post about gifts I’d love to have! However, to answer this question anyway, I think right now I would love to receive The Summer of Chasing Mermaids. Because it sounds so wonderful, and I want to think about summer, ahah!
6. Candles in the Window ?Ā What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling?
Yes, I am a big reader of contemporary romances, because I LOVE that warm fuzzy feeling that usually goes with reading a book like Anna and The French Kiss. No, I won’t go with that one, and I will chooseĀ The Geography of You and Me. Jennifer E. Smith is a great writer of contemporary, and I love reading her books, they are just so SWEET.
7. Christmas Trees & DecorationsĀ āØĀ What are some of your favorite book covers?
Oh, so many book covers I love to pat forever. Does that make me weird?! On the top of my head right now, I would show you these threeĀ GORGEOUS book covers, you can’t help but fall in love with.

8. Christmas JoyĀ ?Ā What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?
There are so many things I love about Christmas. Being with family. Cooking and, most of all, EATING. Giving out presents and receiving them a little bit, too. I LOVE that time of the year!

Yay! I absolutely loved doing this tag. I’m glad it’s making its way around the blogging community š
Oh yay!! This tag was so much fun to do, ! š
It looks like it š
I’m getting Shatter Me for Christmas; I hope that I’ll love it as much as you do š
Aw yaay!! I hope you’ll enjoy it! š
One of the things I absolutely adore about Cheistmas is the lights! I love driving around looking at Christmas lights at nights! ?
Oh YES! I absolutely love seeing all the lights around Christmas time, it’s so beautiful and kind of magical, too! š
Thank you so much for your sweet comment Josie! <3
The Summer of Chasing Mermaids was one of my favorite reads in 2015. In fact, I think I only gave three books 5 stars this year and that was one of them. And Uglies! I can always count on you to mention that title; not a lot of readers like that one for some reason. I’m also so glad you decided to mention Lord of the Flies, that’s one of my favorite classics too. š
Oh wow, really?! I NEED to read that book then, knowing you loved it so much makes me so impatient š
Yes, I don’t understand why they didn’t love Uglies, unlike me, haha, but well š
Oh really?! I don’t read a lot of classics -not at all, actually-, but that one’s an exception, I really liked it! š
Thank you Summer! <3
