Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Brokeandbookish. This week’s theme is Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So. Reading quotes may be one of my favorite things to do, once I’ve finished a book. Sometimes, when reading, I just stop randomly to take in the beautiful writing. Yes, I’m like that, so obviously this post wasn’t so hard to do…let’s take a look at some of my favorite quotes!
1 • The Beginning of Everything, Robyn Schneider
“Oscar Wilde once said that to live is the rarest thing in the world, because most people just exist, and that’s all. I don’t know if he’s right, but I do know that I spend a long time existing, and now, I intend to live.”

2 • Vanishing Girls, Lauren Oliver
“I wish that photographs were physical spaces, like tunnels; that you could crawl inside them and go back.”

3 • The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks, E. Lockhart
“It is better to be alone, she figures, than to be with someone who can’t see who you are. It is better to lead than to follow. It is better to speak up than stay silent. It is better to open doors than to shut them on people.
She will not be simple and sweet. She will not be what people tell her to be. That Bunny Rabbit is dead.”
4 • All The Bright Places, Jennifer Niven
““You are all the colors in one, at full brightness.”
5 • A Thousand Pieces of You, Claudia Gray
“I meant it when I said I didn’t believe in love at first sight. It takes time to really, truly fall for someone. Yet I believe in a moment. A moment when you glimpse the truth within someone, and the glimpse the truth within you. In that moment, you don’t belong to yourself any longer, not completely. Part of you belongs to him; part of him belongs to you. After that, you can’t take it back, no matter how much you want to, no matter how hard you try.”
!
6 • Ignite Me, Tahereh Mafi
“His hands are holding my cheeks, and he pulls back just to look me in the eye and his chest is heaving and he says, “I think,” he says, “my heart is going to explode,” and I wish, more than ever, that I knew how to capture moments like these and revisit them forever.
Because this.
This is everything.”
7 • Emmy & Oliver, Robin Benway
“Sometimes love isn’t something you say, it’s something you do.”
8 • Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, Becky Albertalli
“Why is straight the default? Everyone should have to declare one way or another, and it shouldn’t be this big awkward thing whether you’re straight, gay, bi, or whatever. I’m just saying.”
9 • Let’s get Lost, Ali Alsaid
“And maybe the only way to find what you’re looking for is to get lost along the way.”
10 • More Than This, Patrick Ness
“There’s always beauty, if you know where to look.”

I should really get the Beginning of Everything off my tBR hehe. Happy reading!
