I’ve been tagged by Shelumiel @Bookishandawesome to do this Coffee related tag. I’m not that much of a coffee girl, to be honest, I prefer tea 😉 But this is a fun tag, and let’s get to it !
BLACK
A series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans.
The Maze Runner, James Dashner
Don’t get me wrong : I loved The Maze series, but I have to admit that, at first, I had a hard time getting into the story, especially because of the vocabulary they used, and of the whole confusion thing, at first. This being said, this series is really good and full of imagination, once I was caught in the story, I loved it!
PEPPERMINT MOCHA
A book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.
Let it snow, John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle.
Let it snow is, for me, the MUST read of the winter. With a good cup of tea or chocolate, while it’s cold and snowy outside, nothing like a great and light book like this one to put us in a wintery mood.
HOT CHOCOLATE
A favorite children’s book.
Inkheart, Cornelia Funke
I have many favorites from my childhood, so I decided to pick out this one for today. A story about, well, stories. When I was little, I just loved stories already, and Inkheart was the must.
DOUBLE SHOT OF ESPRESSO
A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
More Than This, Patrick Ness
I don’t know what to say, except that I am still not over that book I read months ago. Right from the start, I was hooked : what’s happening, what’s going to happen? On the edge of my seat, yes…well, sometimes, more like falling off my chair!
STARBUCKS
A book you see everywhere.
Throne of Glass, Sarah J. Maas
I see this book everywhere on blogs I watch daily, and I’m still wondering if I should pick it up or not, whether it’s my kind of book, or not…
THAT HIPSTER COFFEE SHOP
A book by an indie author (a shoutout).
Because You’ll Never Meet Me, Leah Thomas
For this shoutout, I choose to talk about this amazing, one of a kind read, that surely left a mark. Sweet and amazing, Because You’ll Never Meet Me is definitely a read you should put on your TBR!
OOPS! I ACCIDENTALLY GOT DECAF
A book you were expecting more from.
The DUFF,
Kody Keplinger
Maybe it’s because of buzz surrounding the movie, or everything I heard about The DUFF, I’m not sure. Anyways, I was just expecting a great teenagerhood read, and the main character bothered me, and it was predictable. That’s a shame.
THE PERFECT BLEND
A book or series that was both bitter and sweet, but ultimately satisfying.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Steven Chbosky
Bitter, and sweet, may be two adjectives to describe The Perks. If I could, I would add powerful, goddamn powerful. I loved this story.
GREEN TEA
A book or series that is quietly beautiful.
The Beginning of Everything, Robyn Schneider
I don’t think this is one of the most talked about books, that’s why I put it in the quietly beautiful place. Ezra’s story is sweet, it leaves us a great message about life and living it the way you intent to. Quiet, but beautiful.
CHAI TEA
A book or series that makes you dream of far off places.
Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour, Morgan Matson
It’s because of the road trip, yes, but also because of the book filled with photographs and maps and playlists, that makes me want to travel so badly, and discover new places, and myself, as they do in the story.
EARL GREY
Favorite classic.
Lord of the Flies, William Golding
Kind of dystopian, surely scary but resonnating so true about human nature, William Golding’s story is surely one of my favorite classics!
Which book is YOUR favorite classic? Which book kept you on the edge of your seat? Let me know what some of your choices would be, in comments!
And, as I’m not tagging anyone special to do this, if you’re feeling inspired, feel free! I’m tagging all of you reading this post, and don’t forget to leave me a link to your post in comment! 🙂
