Originally coming from the Breaking The Spine blog, Waiting on Wednesday allows me to talk about a book I just can’t wait to get my hands on. Let’s get started !
Don’t forget to tell me about the book you’re eager to read, this week, in comments!
Expected publication : May 26th 2015
Publisher : Katherine Tegen Books
The good girl, the bad boy, the diva, the hustler, the rock star, and the nerd. Six teens legally liberated from parental control for six different reasons, all with one thing in common: something to hide.
Now they’re sharing a house in Venice Beach, acting like a family, and living their lies. No parents. No limits. No alibis. One witnessed a crime, another might be a murderer—and one’s been spying on them all.
As they cling to a fantasy of freedom and slowly let down their guards, the past creeps up on them. And when one of them gets arrested, everyone’s carefully constructed facade comes crumbling down.
In this steamy, drama-filled series, relationships are tested and secrets revealed as lies threaten to destroy their perfect setup
This week, I eagerly waiting on Emancipated. Why ? As picture-perfect as the cover seems, the synopsis clearly promises us there’s something behind all of this. A mystery, waiting to be uncovered. This story is told between alternative points of view : are all these teenagers going to speak up, and tell their stories? I think this can be interesting : bringing different personnalities together, and seeing them collide. Are there too many characters? I don’t know about it, but I’m interested in seeing how they all react together, and how the author built their personal stories.
It promises us some walls coming down…on what, please tell! On mystery, on lies, about what, and who? This synopsis got me really intrigued about the whole story. Picture-perfect lives crumbling down, it’s my thing! So give me now this bunch of teenagers, living on their own, being caught up in a web of lies, drama, and more. I can’t wait to see what this story holds, and I hope it’ll be good.
