Hi everyone, how are you?! Wednesday, half of the week has gone by -not like I’m always counting down for the weekend…well okay, I AM. How was your week so far? What are you reading?
Today, thanks to the PERFECT Kat @ Life and Other Disasters, I get to talk about books, while I talk about MY FAVORITE TV SHOW of all times. Friends. I know all of the episodes by heart, and I can’t stop watching. EVER. It’s just so good. Well, I’m going to stop there, otherwise I will talk about that show for DAYS. So, let’s get started…
THE ONE WHERE EDDIE WON’T GO – A CHARACTER I WISH WOULD JUST GO AWAY:
As much as I loved The Beginning of Everything, I have to say that, now thinking back about it, Cassidy annoyed me SO MUCH. At the beginning, it was okay, but towards the end, I don’t know, it just, wasn’t okay anymore.
THE ONE WHERE ROSS AND RACHEL TAKE A BREAK – FAVORITE BREAK UP SCENE:
I already talked about that series a lot, before, but I couldn’t think about any other book with a perfect break-up scene. It’s the last book of the series His Dark Materials, and, even if it broke my heart, it was only fair and normal, so I guess I’ll put this as my favorite. Even if it did HURT A LOT.
THE ONE WITH ALL THE KISSING – A BOOK WITH LOTS OF KISSING:
I think I’m going to go with PS. I still love you. Jenny Han knows how to write cute romances, and you can be sure I’ll be screaming at my book saying, KISS.
THE LAST ONE – FAVORITE SERIES FINALE:
For that one, I’ll have to say Ignite Me. I think the book was really, really good, and some Warner and Juliette and YES PLEASE I LOVE THAT. Erm, sorry. So I was saying, that book was really good…
THE ONE WITH A BLACKOUT – A SCENE I’D LIKE TO FORGET:

Ohh, so many things that broke my little heart, and that I wish didn’t happen… I could say, If he had been with me: that ending, it broke my heart. Or Eleanor & Park, because, well, that ending, it BROKE MY HEART in all caps. I would like to mention one particular scene in Allegiant. And just ask, WHY.
THE ONE WHERE CHANDLER CAN’T CRY – A BOOK THAT DID NOT MAKE YOU AS EMOTIONAL AS OTHERS:
I’m not going to take “emotional” as in “made me bawl like a big baby for days”, because I couldn’t think of anything, so I’m going to take The 5th wave, and tell that it didn’t make me “emotional”, in the sense that I felt like it was a good story, but I wasn’t crazy about it, unlike a lot of people.
THE ONE WHERE JOEY DOESN’T SHARE FOOD – A BOOK YOU WON’T EVER LEND:

Hm, how about, NONE OF MY BOOKS? I’m a little scared to lend my books, because, well, what if they –no, it’s even too scary to think about. Books are my babies, I’m overly protective of them, but I’m okay with it.
THE ONE WITH THE THUMB – A RECENT READ THAT YOU WOULD GIVE TWO THUMBS UP TO:
A BILLION thumbs up to The Summer of Chasing Mermaids. I recently finished that book, and it was all kinds of gorgeous. If you haven’t read it yet, well, you SHOULD.
THE ONE WITH THE ICK FACTOR – A BOOK WITH A PET PEEVE:
I’m NOT into insta-love, at all. I think it’s what bothers me the most, in books, because well that doesn’t happen in real life, does it?! Annoying characters are kind of a no for me, too.
THE ONE WITH THE LESBIAN WEDDING – FAVORITE LGBTQ BOOK COUPLE:

Hm, I’m thinking about the obvious, Simon & Blue, because, CUTENESS overload, they are perfect. Or Aristotle and Dante, I just loved those two a lot, too.

Omg so many amazing books!! I APPROVE. Ahem.
I’m so glad you enjoyed The Summer of Chasing Mermaids so much; isn’t just absolutely beautiful?? The writing is one of the best parts, I think, haha. <3 And of course, Simon and Blue..!! YESSSSS. That is all.
Such a fun tag! I haven't watched all the episodes of Friends yet (read: I haven't watched many episodes of Friends yet) but I will most definitely change that hehe.
So glad you approve!! 😀 THAT BOOK. I feel in love with it, it’s just one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. The writing is gorgeous, I want to write like that ahah.
Thank you! well, yes, DO WATCH FRIENDS, it is awesome and perfect! (and I’m not saying that ’cause it’s my favorite show. okay, just a little, haha).
And if you like this tag, well, I’m TAGGING you to do it, Analee! 😀
Omg yess. I’d love to write like that too!! ?
Aye aye, captain! I definitely want to watch Friends. ?
Aw thank you so much Marie!! ❤️
Maybe one day, we will, with practice, ahah 🙂 You’re welcome, I can’t wait to read your answers 😀
For some strange reason, I didn’t like Schneider’s The Beginning of Everything. I wasn’t a great fan of the writing style. 🙁 I also think Cassidy was mediocre trying to look like Margo Roth Spiegelman.
Did you just write Simon vs. homo sapiens agenda for cute LGBTQ couple? Agree!!! 😀
Ohh, well I can understand that, so sad you didn’t like it. I had the same feeling about Cassidy, actually, and even if it didn’t prevent me from liking the book, I was annoyed at her for most of the book, ahah. So we’re on the same page here 😉
YES I DID! They are the CUTEST! 😀
Thank you so much for stopping by, Giselle! <3
SO MANY CRAZY AWESOME BOOKS. Yay! 😀
To answer your question, YES I like friends 😀 but I haven’t seen a lot of it 😛
Yaay, thank you ! 😀 Oh, well you definitely should, it’s such a great show! 🙂
I’ve actually have never seen the show Friends so I can’t say if I love it or not 😉 But, I love your answers ?
Ohh thank you! <3 Well I would definitely recommend this show, an episode is only 22 minutes long, if you want to try 🙂 and let me know if you do! 😀
ahh I completely agree with you about the break scene in the Amber Spyglass- it’s heartbreaking, but beautiful and perfect. haha yeah I won’t share books I like- cos then I’ll probably never see them again! :/ great post!
That’s what’s so annoying and scary when sharing books, I would be so mad if they got lost or/and just, not all, sort of, broken, oh, it breaks my heart to think about it, ahah 🙁
Thank you so much! <3
I know- I’ve had books come back totally destroyed :/ or just not come back at all :'( You’re welcome!
This is the worst when it happens 🙁 and after, people ask why I’m so protective of my books, haha.
yeah understandable!
hahaha! Loved reading your answers! I don’t share my books either! 😀
Aw thank you so much! I really don’t like to share my books, I’m glad I’m not alone! 🙂 Thank you! 😀
YAYAYAYAY! It makes me so happy that The Summer of Chasing Mermaids can finally be used as a “read” book in your tags! 😀 And oh gosh, I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t read the Divergent series! I’m bracing myself for Allegiant already just because so many readers have mentioned it be so heartbreaking.
I wrote my review the other day, and I wrote WAY too much, this book just inspires me so much, haha. Oh, you should! It’s not my favorite series, but it was quite good, and yes, hm, Allegiant is heartbreaking, it really was. You’re lucky you didn’t get spoiled, I feel like everyone did!
Thank you Summer! <3
WHAAAT. I didn’t know how much I needed this tag in my life until your post, but I need this tag in my life. I WILL DO IT ASAP.
Great answers, Marie. 😀
OH YES you need to do it, I’d love to read your answers! 😀 Thank you so much! <3
STOP IT! You can’t call me perfect!!! I am far from it!
I love your choices, especially for the scenes you want to forget! I don’t like lending my books either. I am way too scared, because it has happened that I got it back ruined 🙁
But you are awesome, you even did an award for it, if I remember correctly, haha 😉
Ohh no 🙁 I hate when that happens. That’s why I’m always reluctant to share my books, and I almost, well, never do so, ahah.
We are all awesome in our own ways! (but definitely not perfect ahahaha)
I only let my cousin borrow it. She is very careful with them!
Ahah, indeed 😉 Well, I only let my sister borrow my books, we read ALL the same kind of books and I’m sure she’ll keep them as good as new 🙂
That’s cool! You need to trust the other person for that.
Exactly. It’s great that there are people we can trust enough for that 🙂
Friends + books is the perfect combination 😀 I haven’t read The Summer of Chasing Mermaids yet, but I really want to and now even more 🙂
YES, this is the perfect combinaison, you’re right! 😀 Oh, you should, it’s such a beautiful book, I love it <3
That breakup in His Dark Materials WAS SO PERFECT OMG! It’s so hard to say that any breakup is perfect…but that one definitely was! Great pick, Marie! 🙂
Aww thank you so much Geraldine! It was heartbreaking, but yes, kind of perfect, too. <3
I LOVE this tag. Friends is the best show ever.
Ohhh the ending of Eleanor & Park. Seriously did break my heart. I feel like I need to re-read that soon! It’s been so long.
Aw thank you! If you love it, you should totally do it, I’m tagging you 😀
That ending broke my heart, too! It’s a book I will re-read, too, one of my favorites! <3
Thank you for stopping by, Brittany! <3
I HAVE NEVER SEEN FRIENDS. SHALL I HIDE NOW?? I do love the gifs though. XD hehe and omg I have The Summer of Chasing Mermaids on reserve at my library and I AM OFFICIALLY FREAKISHLY EXCITED. SQUEEEEE. And also I agree 100% about Cassidy from The Beginning of Everything. Omg that book frustrated me like 99%. -_- And Simon + Blue = everything too insanely adorable for this universe.
Haha no, no reason to hide, but you SHOULD WATCH IT. It’s the best tv show of all times, and it’s so, so much fun. Plus, one episode is only 22 minutes long, so, not a big commitment :p
OHH I am SO excited for you to read The Summer of Chasing Mermaids, that book is a perfection. I hope you’ll love it! <3
Thank you so much for stopping by Cait!
YES HIS DARK MATERIALS WAS FANTASTIC OMG. I loved that breakup scene :’) I haven’t read many of your other recs, but I did adore Simon Vs — seriously, that book got me back into my Oreo addiction.
Thank you for commenting on The Devil Orders Takeout! <3
I loveed it so much, too, I feel like re-reading it now 😀
Oh, well if you ever want to read one of these books, DO IT, because they’re all very good! Thank you so much for stopping by, Alyssa!
