December has been busy, busy with work and some work changes coming ahead hopefully in the new year, busy with socializing a little bit more, busy with going back to see my family for the holidays as well.
Nothing much to share here, I’m afraid. Excited to start a new chapter and to hopefully, a better year ahead!
Monthly Reading Wrap-Up
Back at 4 books a month to end the year, so yay! I’m happy about my reading this last month, especially since I got TWO 5 stars reads!
YOU AND ME ON VACATION ☂️ A new favorite read. You all know my love for the friends to lovers trope and, friends, this one is EXCELLENT with that trope. Gave me all the feels. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
EIGHT NIGHTS OF FLIRTING ☂️ This was such a fun, endearing holiday read with a soft romance and all the snow. Perfect read for this time of the year! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SEVEN PERCENT OF RO DEVEREUX ☂️ This was one of my most anticipated ya books of 2023 and… well. I really loved it SO much. Definitely recommending it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THE LIGHT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD ☂️ This book has been on my TBR for AGES and… I’m glad I finally read it. I enjoyed the world overall, but unfortunately it took me a while to really get into the story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

THE UNFORGETTABLE ALEXANDRA SHAW ☂️ Alexandra killed her father… by accident. She then meets a stranger, Logan, assuring her he knows her and that she’s dead, as well. Aerm. This sounds super twisty and intriguing and I’m all here for it. And I LOVE that cover?!

LOVELIGHT FARMS ☂️ So apparently this is a highly popular romance book and I stumbled upon it and loved that cover. Then, Jordyn @ Birdie’s Book Nook told me I NEEDED it, soooo… on the TBR it went.

I WILL FIND YOU AGAIN ☂️ This is about two overachievers, two best friends… until one of them disappears. This sounds excellent and a little messed-up and I want to read it okay.

I made it, yay!
It’s been a very, very empty month, writing-wise. You’ll recall that I finished draft 3 of my contemporary sisters WIP back in November and… I hoped to re-read the whole thing this December.
I just didn’t do it, at all. I left this story completely aside, started brainstorming a little something else I’ve had on my mind for ages, barely even wrote a thing. Meaning: I spent an awful amount of time on Pinterest and wrote half a first chapter.
It’s weird and feels… not quite right, after spending so much of this year writing, writing and writing. But I guess it’s also good to take a bit of a break?
I’m hoping to finally re-read my contemporary WIP soon and to move on with it, as well as finally get to writing something else, soon. Fingers crossed!
I managed to keep up with my blogging schedule this past month, something I’m really happy about!

I still feel like my blogging enthusiasm has faded a little bit in the past month. Well, it’s been ups and downs, I’d say, but I’m hoping that 2023 will bring back some more excitement and that, overall, I’ll just keep on having fun with it all. That’s all that matters, after all, right?

Hey Marie <3 that's great that you kept up with your blogging schedule. I hope you're not being too hard on yourself about not writing as much; you definitely deserve a break as well. Can't wait to hear about what you get up to with writing next though! I'm definitely excited about January, though I also don't really know what to expect from it and the new year; the past three years of my life have been filled with a lot of uncertainty and now I might finally be leaving that stage, which is kinda crazy. December was such a nice end to the year, especially after exams were done and winter break ended; I finally had time to write a few blog posts and it was really enjoyable to write my December/second half of the year wrap-up which will be out next week.

I HAVE THE FIRST TWO BOOKS OF THE LOVELIGHT FARMS SERIES ON MY TBR AS WELL!!! I have this twitter friend who is obsessed with them and enticed me with the coolest fan casts for the different leads. I hope we’ll both like the books.
