Mine was a bit busy but really lovely! The first part was a bit tiring with work stuff and the second part absolutely glorious with a little get away to my sister’s place. Plus, the weather was kind of fabulous! Dear sun, please… don’t you dare go away!

My top 10 most anticipated adult books for 2023

It’s the story of Samantha, a working-class woman dreaming of writing for a high-society magazine. We follow her as she infiltrates Singapore’s socialite scene to fulfill her dreams and risks losing everything in the process… including herself. High society? Angsty romance? Fashion magazine world? Glamour and drama? Uh… yes please! That sounds like the perfect guilty pleasure that I’m going to devour cover to cover!

This story sounds riveting and really addictive! I bet I’m going to be rooting for this determined and smart anti heroine. I’m really looking forward to get my hands on this one!

Those authors… ugh, I love everything they write (and no, it’s not because my sister is bullying me…). This one is about a married couple whose spark is starting to fade. Begins a flirtatious game of pretend to try to reignite their relationship… It sounds intense, thought provoking and romantic! Please, give me all the feels now!
Business or Pleasure, Rachel Lynn Solomon
Another one of my favorite author and this one looks steamy! This is the story of a ghostwriter and a struggling actor that help each other on the page and in the bedroom… As they grow closer both in and out of the bedroom, they must figure out which is more important, business or pleasure – or if there’s a way for them to have both… Freaking delightful, I want to read it now!
Yellowface, R.F. Kuang
What’s the harm in a pseudonym? New York Times bestselling sensation Juniper Song is not who she says she is, she didn’t write the book she claims she wrote, and she is most certainly not Asian American… This is a story about diversity, racism, and cultural appropriation. I bet this is a book that will leave me on the edge on my seat, a book that will leave me thinking long after I’ve finished the very last page. Chilling and timely, I’m really curious to see how it will all unfold!

Happy Place, Emily Henry
I still haven’t read any of Emily Henry’s books and I’m ashamed… I need every single one of them right this second because they all sound pretty delightful! This one is about a couple who broke up months ago that make a pact to pretend to still be together for their annual weeklong vacation with their best friends. Second chance and fake dating? I mean… this looks like perfection!

The Neighbor Favor, Kristina Forest
I really enjoyed her YA novel I Wanna Be Where You Are and I’m so excited to see her in the adult section. This is about a shy bookworm that enlists her charming neighbor to help her score a date, not knowing he’s the obscure author she’s been corresponding with. Oh my, Kristina Forest what are you doing to my heart? Just reading the blurb I’m hooked! It looks like the cutest rom-com ever. Sweet and heartwarming, I’m really looking forward to reading this. I bet it will leave me smiling and swooning for days!
Nora Goes Off Script, Annabel Monaghan
