Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Brokeandbookish. This week’s theme is a freebie theme about Valentine’s Day. I think that holiday is mostly commercial and unfair to those who don’t have a special someone to celebrate with…So, I’m doing a top ten Valentine’s Day reads, BUT they are perfect for that day, not -only- for the cute couples and swoony moments, but because they celebrate love with a special someone, whether it’s friendship, relationships, family… And they’re just really cute and worth it. Don’t forget to click on the title of the books to read their fabulous synopsis!
1 • I’ll Give You The Sun, Jandy Nelson
One day, I’ll shut up about that book, but I’m sorry, today isn’t the day. This book is just too beautiful for words, and Jude and Noah’s relationship, despite having its bumps, is everything.
2 • Since You’ve Been Gone, Morgan Matson
I really loved this Morgan Matson’s book, and I think it deals with friendship, and relationships, in such a great way, you shouldn’t miss it.
3 • Emmy & Oliver, Robin Benway
Another book I talk about a lot, but well…Emmy & Oliver sure deals with a super sweet and cute love story, BUT it’s also about friendship, and family. It’s just overall a beautiful read
4 • My life next door, Huntley Fitzpatrick
Okay, now this is a love story, and Jase is so cute and I don’t know, I like him, a lot. This would be a perfect read for valentine’s day.
5 • All the bright places, Jennifer Niven
For those of you who read that book: I know, WHY would I want to read that book, given how, well, sad it is? I would say that, despite it being awfully sad, this also is a beautiful story about love.
6 • Anna and the French Kiss, Stephanie Perkins
I couldn’t do that topic without quoting Anna and the French Kiss, it’s like making a chocolate mousse without any chocolate. This is one of the cutest books ever, and Anna and Etienne relationship is one we can all swoon over on Valentine’s Day.
7 • Vendetta, Catherine Doyle
This one’s quite a crazy ride. It’s thrilling, it’s full of suspense and mystery. So, why put it there? Because there are cute boys in it, obviously. And you’ll want to figure out what’s hidden behind these pretty faces.
8 • Just Visiting, Dahlia Adler
Let’s leave all the love stories behind for one book. Well, in that particular book, there is a love story, but it’s not the main focus. The main focus here, is; FRIENDSHIP. Great one, with its highs and lows, but a friendship we all want to celebrate.
9 • Eleanor & Park, Rainbow Rowell
I would love to describe you how heartbreaking and beautiful and worth it is this story, but I will just say one word. Or maybe three: ALL OF THE FEELS.
10 • The Geography of You and Me, Jennifer E. Smith
To conclude this cute bookish list, well, I can’t not quote one of Jennifer E. Smith’s book. She is THE queen of cute contemporary stories, and if you’re looking for a sweet story to make you smile during Valentine’s day, well, look no further, this one’s perfect.

Great choice of books, Marie! You know of course how much I love Anna and the French Kiss, My Life Next Door and Since You’ve Been Gone, but the others are great as well!

You’re talking to the woman who insists on referring to love as ‘smoochies’. I get it 😉
Hahahhaha! 🙂
I completely agree with you that no list is complete without Anna just because of how adorable it is. I also really enjoyed Isla and the Happily Ever After!
Yes, it’s just too adorable not to be quoted today 🙂 Ohh, I haven’t read that one, but I should put in on my TBR, then, if you liked it! 🙂

You SHOULD read it, it’s so good! Well, I guess some people didn’t like the ending, and to be honest, I wish it did end another way, but…I really loved it anyway. And if the ending wasn’t great for everyone, it was fair and perfectly fitted for the book 🙂
Thank you so much!! <3
I think I will 🙂
I can’t wait to know what you thought about it!! 😀
