Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Brokeandbookish. This week’s theme is a Top Ten Books I’ve Recently Added to my TBR. Okay, confession-time: lately, my TBR is SUFFERING because I keep adding SO many books. I just can’t stop. I kind of blame book bloggers for that. But I kind of LOVE you for it, too. SO many books, that’s just the best feeling, isn’t it?! Don’t forget to click on the title of the books to read their fabulous synopsis!
1 • When we Collided, Emery Lord
I found out about this book a few days ago, and I have to admit, it seems kind of heartbreaking, sweet, and with a sort of All The Bright Places vibe. Plus, the cover is really beautiful.
2 • The Darkest Part of The Forest, Holly Black
What, is this fantasy?! Yes my friends, I’m putting quite a lot of fantasy books on my TBR lately, and I am IMPATIENT to start. This one sounds weird, mysterious, and that cover looks great, I’m definitely getting it soon.
3 • Forget Tomorrow, Pintip Dunn
I didn’t read dystopia in a while, and to be honest, I kind of miss it. I’ve seen this book around a lot, and the synopsis seems very different and intriguing…I hope it’ll be good!.
4 • Scandal, Sarah Ockler
My love for contemporary is infinite, and this book seems really entertaining, in a kind of Mean Girls vibe or something…I don’t know, I just feel like I’m going to like it!.
5 • The Raven Boys, Maggie Stievfater
YES. Everyone’s been talking about this series, telling how AMAZING it is, and I have to figure this out myself! The story seems promising, so I hope, when the time comes, I won’t be disappointed.
6 • Gambit, C. L. Denault
Another dystopia, with a great cover, and some great reviews already! An interesting world, and characters …I have to read that one soon.
7 • Made You Up, Francesca Zappia
I’ll admit it, the hype made me add this book to my TBR. I saw the cover around before, and, after reading a bunch of reviews and hearing about how great this story is, well…I just want to try and read it myself, to see if it’s that good.
8 • Cinder, Marissa Meyer
I know, I am SO late on that hyped train… I haven’t read the Lunar Chronicles at all, yet. But I know lots of people who did, so that counts, right?! I like the genre, and this book seems quite good…I hope I’ll like it as much as everyone else seems to!.
9 • The Fill-In Boyfriend, Kasie West
You know me, if we’re talking about a cute romance, well I’m here!! And I definitely want to read it. Some of you guys blogged about this one lately, and I’m impatient to finally read some Kasie West. Apparently, she’s good at what she does… so I should love it !.
10 • You Know Me Well, David Levithan & Nina LaCour
Except Will Grayson, Will Grayson, I didn’t read anything from Levithan yet. The same goes for Nina LaCour. But this book really appeals to me, it feels like one of these great contemporary stories that stays with you. I want to read it.

You are not alone Marie, I haven’t read The Lunar Chronicles either. I have heard so much about it and I’m so excited to read it! Soon, I hope…
Great list, I’ll be adding some of them to my TBR. 🙂
Awww, I’m so glad to hear I’m not alone 🙂 Thank you so much Tasha! 🙂
YAY! We have 2 books in common (Raven Boys and You Know Me Well). I want to read a couple of the others as well though. Cinder and the Lunar Chronicles are definitely on my TBR for this year. This day is terrible … may TBR is just growing a mile high.
Yaay!! You’re so right, I keep adding books to my TBR, I just can’t stop, it’s crazy! Hopefully one day we’ll be able to read all the books, ahah!
One day, some day in the distant future 😉
Haha, YES, I want to believe that! :p
I won’t say Cinder was an awesome read, but it was a mindless fun one. My TTT
Well that’s good to know! 🙂 Thank you! 🙂
I’ve only read 2 of Sarah Ockler’s books, and I loved both of them. I need to add the rest of her books to my TBR. Great Top Ten!

Ooo! Great choices! I loved The Fill-In Boyfriend, The Raven Boys and The Darkest Part of the Forest!
Ohh really? That’s so great, I’m glad to know you loved those! 🙂

Ohh, well that’s so great we have so many books in common! 😀

Holly Black is a new favourite author of mine. The Darkest Part of the Forest was worth the read for sure! Nice list! 🙂
My TTT
Aww really? I’m so glad to hear that, I need to check it out really soon then! 🙂 Thank you so much! 🙂
I can’t wait to read Emery Lord’s new book. I love her writing. I enjoyed #scandal. I also am so intrigued by Made You Up. I bought myself a copy recently.
Aw, you’ve read some of her books already? I need to check those out 🙂 Ohh, I’m excited to read your thoughts on Made You Up then! 🙂 Thank you for stopping by! <3
Great List! Forget tomorrow is also in my TBR and I hope to read it soon. The Darkest Part of the forest is a nice read but I didn’t enjoyed much due to its slow pacing. The Raven Boys was disappointment for me but I hope you like it. The Fill In Boyfriends is totally entertaining and fun to read. It was really sweet and adorable! I think you’ll definitely like it. 😀
Thank you! Well I’m so happy to hear your opinion on these titles is different from everyone else’s. I felt like everyone was in love with The Raven Boys, and I’m glad to see there are exceptions! 🙂 Awww, I should definintely like this one, then! Thank you so much! 😀
You have a great list put together here! The Lunar Chronicles are some of my favorite books in the world, so I would definitely recommend that you get to those if you can!I also really enjoyed the fill-in boyfriend, and I love Sarah Ockler, so I’m sure Scandal will be good!
here’s my TTT!

Made You Up sounds really interesting!
It does! I really hope it’ll be a great book 🙂 Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
Awesome list! 🙂
Made You Up was so good!
I can’t wait to get my hands on Forget Tomorrow.
Thank you so much Ashley! Ohh, I’m so glad to hear you liked that one, makes me even more impatient to read it! 😀
actually want to read Forget Tomorrow and Gambit so badly! Dystopia isn’t usually the genre I reach for first as well but I always seem to enjoy the books!! Everyone is right! You need to read The Raven Cycle series! It’s one of my favourite series! And Made You Up was like top 3 favourite book last year! It’s actually AMAZING! I hope when you get to it you love it as well!!!

Blame my stupid internet for not showing me if the damn comment sent.)
Haha, this comment showed three times indeed, but it makes me feel SO loved, so thank you, haha :p
Ohh, well that’s so great, I hope you’ll love those two books. They seem like kind of, different, dystopias, and I hope they won’t be disappointing. Ohh, I will definitely read those books soon, now that I have your approval :p Thank you! <3
Hahaha damn! I was like STUPID FUCKING COMMENT JUST POST!! After the third one I was like ‘soz this is my last attempt’ haha!
Hahaha, it’s like someone didn’t want you to comment here, that’s crazy! You can beat the weirdness of WordPress, yes you can! :p
I just finished the Lunar Chronicles myself! I thought they were great so I hope you enjoy them!
I also really want to read Scandal–been on my list for a very long time…whoops
Aww, I’m happy to hear you liked that series. I hope I will as much as you, I’m always a little nervous about series everyone seems to like… Thank you so much Lauren!! <3
There are many series that I too haven’t [and know I won’t] read and those are probably Raven Cycle (WHICH I TRIED, TO BE FAIR) and Lunar Chronicles — so you must enjoy them in my steed, Marie LOL.
Cheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.
Aww, and you didn’t enjoy the beginning of The Raven Boys, then, I guess? Don’t worry, I will, haha! 🙂 Thank you Joey!!
So many good books on this list. Raven Boys and Cinder are must reads! And I’m looking forward to reading ‘Made You Up’ too, so I have high hopes for that 🙂
My TTT
Aww, well if they are must-reads…I need to order them right now! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by!!
I still haven’t read The Raven Boys yet either! I have a few of these on my Goodreads TBR myself. I loved Cinder, hopefully you enjoy it too!
My TTT.
Aww I’m happy to hear I’m not the only person left who hasn’t read The Raven Boys, ahah! 🙂 Thank you so much!! <3
I only just learned of When We Collided and it sounds like it’s going to be a brilliant contemporary. And yay for The Darkest Part of the Forest. I really want to read some Holly Black this year since it’s been at least 5+ years since I’ve read her writing. And I read Cinder when it first came out and didn’t like it that much; hopefully you’ll enjoy it more than I did! Awesome list, Marie! ^.^ Happy Tuesday (or Wednesday, now)!
Aww, well, I’m happy to hear that some people aren’t head over heels for the Lunar Chronicles series, I was starting to wonder if those books cast a spell on people or something ahha! 🙂 We NEED to read some Holly Black together then this year! 😀
Thank you so much Summer, Happy Wednesday!! 😀
KASIE WEST YES! I will buy anything she writes, it’s always adorable. I’ve also read Cinder, #scandal and The Raven Boys. Cinder is amazing but #scandal and The Raven Boys for me was just meh. After all the hype around The Raven Boys, I was pretty disappointed. Anyways, hope you enjoy reading these books 😀
Ohhh, I’m so happy to hear that, I’m all in for adorable, it’s my favorite kind of books (not ashamed, haha). I understand, it’s actually what I’m scared of, too, when I’ll finally read The Raven Boys. I hope I will enjoy it, though! 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by! <3
OMGOMGOMG!!!! YOU NEED TO READ THE LUNAR CHRONICLES!! I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE MY LOVE FOR IT! PLEASE READ IT!! I will send all your favourite food and a golden ticket to explore the world at NO COST, if you just please fall in love with this series! ❤ ❤ ❤
The first time I read Cinder I was like WTF…and this was 2012 when it first came out but then I gave it another go and I FELL DEEPLY AND MADLY IN LOVE WITH THIS SERIES!!! ❤.❤
I also need to get my hand on Made You Up because OMG…THE COVER LOVE FOR THAT NOVEL!!! ❤.❤ I feel artistic even holding it in my hands hahah xD
Also I picked up the Raven Boys once and I read the first chapter but that was the furthest I have gone…would like to pick it up again! 😀
Wow!!! It makes me SO happy and kind of eager to read that series, seeing ALL of your enthousiasm about it! I’ll keep that in mind, the favorite food and the golden ticket 😉
Made You Up already LOOKS gorgeous, right? I hope the inside is as pretty as the outside! 🙂
Oh no, why? Did something bother you, or weren’t you just in the mood?
I certainly hope it meets your expectations because then we would FANGIRL TOGETHER!! 😀
I KNOW IT LOOKS SO PRETTY ❤.❤ I agree with you, I cross my fingers and pray to lord that it is amazing outside as it is inside!
Hmm, I am a mood reader…I think I read the novel at the wrong time. I was after a fluffy contemporary read, not a dark fantasy novel. But I’m happy to give it another go! 😀
OH YES, I want to fangirl with you about that series, I will ORDER it soon -well…when I get money, haha!
Aww, well I hope you’ll decide to pick it up again…maybe we could read it together?! 😀
Can’t wait! 😀 Majority of the books I’ve read, I borrowed it from my local library because I’m poor haha 😛
YASSS!! 😀 THAT IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA! ❤ Oh wait….I need to finish my library haul before I start anything else hehe. 😛
I am SO poor, too, yet I keep on buying books, because my library DOESN’T have the books I want 🙁 Haha, well I have a bunch of books I need to read first, too, but we should let each other know when we buy The Raven Boys, so we can read it together! 😀
Whoa that sucks :/ Our libraries in the state are largely connected hence I just request the novel and it will transfer to my library 😀
YES 😀 We totally should, and I really want someone to buddy read with me on the last book of Lunar Chronicles so maybe if you fell in love with the first novel then I can resist my temptation for now and read Winter with you! ❤
It really does…this is when I get really mad for living in France, ahah!
Ohh, well maybe we could, but I don’t want to make you wait too long, I don’t know when I’m going to get to them, yet! <3
I haven’t read The Lunar Chronicles yet either – it is on my “must” list for this year 🙂 My TTT
Aww, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who haven’t read that series! 🙂 Thank you so much for stopping by!
YES YES YES to all of the books on your list! I highly recommend The Lunar Chronicles and The Raven Boys! Those characters are amazing!! I also really enjoyed #scandal but it’s not my favourite Sarah Ockler novel. I much preferred The Summer of Chasing Mermaids.
Those two books are HIGH on my TBR, I’m excited to read them, knowing that so many people love them! Oh, well I’m glad to hear that, because I ordered The Summer of Chasing Mermaids first, the other day! I can’t wait to start reading it! I’ll Give You The Sun was incredible, and you recommended it to me a LOT. So I know I can trust your taste in books 😉
Cinder! I just finished The Lunar Chronicles last week and I’m still on a bit of a book hangover from it. Those books are amazing 🙂 Hope you enjoy!
Aww well I’m so glad to hear you loved it so much!! I’m excited to read them 🙂 Thank you! 🙂
