My Life in Books Tag

Hi bookish friends, how are you? I hope you had a great week. Mine was pretty full, but I can’t complain, it feels so good to be back with family and take a break.

Today, I’m going to talk to you a bit about life. Well, and books, obviously. So how about a tag to do that? The wonderful Jenna @ Reading with JennaΒ tagged me to do the My Life in Books Tag. Before starting, let me say that she is one of the sweetest people I have met in the blogging community, and that, if you don’t know her and her blog, you should check it out right away! Alright, let’s get started! πŸ™‚

1. FIND A BOOK FOR EACH OF YOUR INITIALS

more ha^ppyM: More Happy Than Not, Adam Silvervendettaa
V: Vendetta, Catherine Doyle

I didn’t read More Happy Than Not yet, but it’s on my TBR. I don’t know when I will pick it up, but I’ve heard so many great things about this story, I know I should at some point!

Vendetta is a story I really enjoyed reading. Fast-paced and mysterious, it’s an entertaining read you should give a try to, if you like contemporary romance and thriller.

2. COUNT YOUR AGE ALONG YOUR BOOKSHELF – WHICH BOOK IS IT?the forbidden game

The 22nd book on my shelf is The Forbidden Game, by L. J. Smith.Β Wow, I read that book a damn while ago, I couldn’t even remember the whole synopsis correctly, haha!

3. PICK A BOOK SET IN YOUR CITY/STATE/COUNTRY.

anna and the french kissAnna and the French Kiss, Stephanie Perkins is the first book that comes to mind, since it’s set in Paris, France. I don’t live in Paris, but I do live in France, so I guess that counts! Plus, this was such a sweet and endearing story, I loved it!

4. PICK A BOOK THAT REPRESENTS A DESTINATION YOU WOULD LOVE TO TRAVEL TO.the bling ring

The only book I can think about now is The Bling Ring, because it’s set in Los Angeles and its surroundings, and it’s one of the destinations on my to-do-list!

5. PICK A BOOK THAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR.revived

all the bright placesI think for that one, I’ll go with blue colors, which are my favorite ones! All the bright places by Jennifer Niven, and Revived by Cat Patrick are two colors (and two awesome books!) I really like.

6. WHICH BOOK DO YOU HAVE THE FONDEST MEMORIES OF?uglies

inkheartI remember reading Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke, when I was younger, and I really enjoyed this story, the setting, and the extraordinary power of making stories come alive. Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld, could be another choice. I read it around the time it got released, and it’s a story that made me love the dystopian genre…and made me question the whole society around me.

7. WHICH BOOK DID YOU HAVE THE MOST DIFFICULTY READING?

legacy of kingsI’d say the one I’m reading now, Legacy of Kings. I started a few days ago, but I’m having a hard time getting into it, figuring out ALL the characters in it, and everything. But I’m not one to give up, so, I’ll see how I’m liking it after a few more pages!

8. WHICH BOOK IN YOUR TBR PILE WILL GIVE YOU THE BIGGEST SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT WHEN YOU FINISH IT?bone gap

All the books?! MaybeΒ Bone Gap. This book hasΒ been on my TBR forever and I NEED to read that now.

I hope you had as much fun reading it, as I did writing it! I’m going to tag a few people to do this one :

Sara @ Freadom library
Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse
Carrie @ Reading is my superpower
Anette @ Anette Reads
Lydia @ 22 is still young adult

If you’d like to do this tag, then please do so, I’m officially tagging YOU!Β

And guys, tell me…if you had to choose ONE book that changed your life…which one would it be?!

  1. *blushes* Oh Marie, you’re the sweetest! I love chatting with you through comments and you always write the most thoughtful ones too ❀

I'm really looking forward to reading Bone Gap as well! I've heard soooo many awesome things about it from fellow bloggers and I'm so keen to see what it's all about. But it's not available in Australia so I've been putting off buying it online… 😦

  2. Thanks for the tag. The thought of doing this reminds me how much my bookshelves need sorting out. Currently they are really more heaped than organised. I always see people on Youtube with these beautifully colour-coded shelves. I would love to be that person, but the day when I can be bothered does not look to be coming any time soon.

I remember reading Uglies when I was a tween, too. It takes me back to my pre-book cynic days, when the word dystopia didn’t make me roll my eyes…

    1. You’re welcome! πŸ˜€ Oh, how I would love it, if my bookshelves were as ordered and perfectly looking as some we can see online! Mine are really not organized at all, it’s just a bunch of books everywhere around, haha! Maybe someday you’ll decide to put everything in order πŸ™‚
I understand what you mean, with too many dystopian look-alikes, it’s hard sometimes not to be bothered by it… I really loved Uglies, was one of my first dystopian books! πŸ™‚
Thank you for your comment! ❀

  3. Oh no! I’m sorry to hear you’re not liking Legacy of Kings. I was really looking forward to that one because the premise sounded so interesting, but there seems to be a lot of readers that didn’t like it. :/ And have you read any of the S.A.S.S. books? I don’t think they have perfect representation of the countries they feature, but I know two of them (Pardon my French and French Kiss) are set in France!

    1. I think it’s because historical fiction isn’t really my cup of tea, and all the different POV got me a little bit confused, at times. Other than that, I can see why other people are liking it, the story is interesting to follow πŸ™‚ Aw, no, I didn’t, I should check that out! Thank you Summer! πŸ™‚ ❀
