Originally coming from the Breaking The Spine blog, Waiting on Wednesday allows me to talk about a book I just can’t wait to get my hands on. Let’s get started !
Don’t forget to tell me about the book you’re eager to read, this week, in comments!
Expected publication : September 1st 2015
Publisher : Poppy
On the night before they leave for college, Clare and Aidan only have one thing left to do: figure out whether they should stay together or break up. Over the course of twelve hours, they’ll retrace the steps of their relationship, trying to find something in their past that might help them decide what their future should be. The night will lead them to friends and family, familiar landmarks and unexpected places, hard truths and surprising revelations. But as the clock winds down and morning approaches, so does their inevitable goodbye. The question is, will it be goodbye for now or goodbye forever?
I can’t say I am the biggest fan of Jennifer E. Smith, as I only read one of her books : The Geography of You and Me. However, I really enjoyed it : the story was simple, sure, but so sweet, and I found myself caring about these characters, whether they’d meet again or not. I loved the way the author told us a simple, yet perfect story, and made everything about it so endearing. I always thought to myself I should check out some of her other books, and this one really caught my eye. Over the course of twelve hours, between flashbacks (I’m guessing, or at least reminiscences?), what is going to be a great couple is going to figure out their future. I’m expecting a great, sweet love story. I believe that sometimes, a book like that is all you need, and I definitely can’t wait to get my hands on it.
