Originally coming from the Breaking The Spine blog, Waiting on Wednesday allows me to talk about a book I just can’t wait to get my hands on. Let’s get started !
Don’t forget to tell me about the book you’re eager to read, this week, in comments!
Expected publication : June 2nd 2015
Publisher : Harper Collins
BEFORE: It was the perfect summer of first kisses, skinny-dipping, and bonfires by the lake. Joy, Tali, Luce, and Zoe knew their final summer at Camp Okahatchee would come to an end, but they swore they’d stay friends.
AFTER: Now, two years later, their bond has faded along with those memories.
THEN: That is, until the fateful flash of a photo booth camera transports the four of them back in time, to the summer they were fifteen—the summer everything changed.
NOW: The girls must recreate the past in order to return to the present. As they live through their second-chance summer, the mystery behind their lost friendship unravels, and a dark secret threatens to tear the girls apart all over again.
ALWAYS: Summers end. But this one will change them forever.
The book that caught my eyes this week is Proof of Forever. I have to say, reading the beginning of the synopsis, I thought right away about another summer story. But I kept on reading, and, I got quickly intrigued by the original concept of this book. Where many summer stories would settle for a girl-boy romance, or sunny road trip adventures, I saw in Proof of Forever something more ambitious. It seems, to me, that this story takes up the little spark provoked by this kind of novel, and, adding this touch of science-fiction, will try to make a firework. And, honestly, who never dreamt of going back in time ? I sure did.
The spicy touch of this synopsis, is, obviously, the secrecy : what happened this fateful summer? Give me sun, beach, a touch of mystery like that, and I am in. Exploring different sides of the same story, this book promises to bring relief with point of views from all the characters. I can’t wait to see what happens, what happened…and happens again, on June 2nd !
I was really torn about whether to request this one or not when I saw it on Edelweiss and I got it but haven’t read it yet. I hope it’s amazing but there are just so many contemp YA books being released this spring/summer

Thank you, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about this book! I know, right? So many books to read, so little time…I hope I can find the time to read most of them!
This does sound pretty interesting, though I’m not sure it’s one I will end up reading. I don’t do a lot of time travel stories. I hope you enjoy it though!!
I understand, time travel stories are really particular, sometimes hard to follow, it needs to be really well-thought by the writer, I think. Thank you, I can’t wait to share my thoughts about it!
