Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Brokeandbookish. This week’s theme is Top Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I’m Looking Forward To. There are so many adaptations coming lately, I feel like we’re swamped! But well, I can’t complain...If you’re interested in seeing what the latest projects are, a little reminder, check out my monthly feature, Showtime! Let’s take a look at this!
1 • Mockingjay part 2
The premiere of the movie was yesterday night, and one hour away. Needless to say I couldn’t go…I think the producers and actors did a great job for now with this book adaptation, so I CAN’T wait to see how this ends. I’m not that excited about crying my eyes out, though, but I have no choice.

2 • The Statistical Probability of Love at first Sight
I only learned very recently that this book was going to be a movie. I’m usually very reticent about this kind of thing: when I like a book, I’m scared they’ll spoil everything in the adaptation…Still waiting to know more about this, and praying this will go well!.

3 • The 5th Wave
This book kind of scared me, to be honest, haha, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it on the big screen…and I’m sure it’ll quickly become a whole phenomenon, such as The Hunger Games did. But well, that’s life…and I’m still gonna go to the movies to see this.
4 • Let it Snow
I’m not sure if that’s signed yet, or not, but what I’m sure about is that this would make such a great movie for Christmas time. No pressure, no aliens or big rebellion, just a sweet story with endearing characters, that I can’t wait to see coming to life!
5 • Allegiant
Okay, I still didn’t see Insurgent – I promise you, I will, at some point! Because well, I still want to see Allegiant. I want to hide in a corner, and not see how this ends, but in the same time, I feel like I need to see. Yes, I’m a very contradictory person.
6 • Before I Fall
Now, THAT, I want to see, and RIGHT NOW. This book is one of my favorites, and even if I’m a litte bit nervous about seeing it on the big screen, I have a good feeling about this.
I’m definitely going to cry, for this one. But at the same time, I’m happy this is coming on the big screen. This story was so sweet and endearing, beautifully written. I hope the movie does its justice!
8 • Eleanor & Park
Another one of my favorite books, I think it’s been optioned by I don’t remember who, anyways, maybe it’s going to be a movie, yay! I’m more scared than impatient for that one, but I want to know the cast…and to get prepared to see this anyway –you know I won’t be able to resist.
I am officially scared as f*ck for this one. I’m not impatient, but at the same time, I am. I don’t even know who I am anymore with this, okay?! This is my favorite book of all times, and I’m not sure how I will feel about seeing it on the big screen. But they did a good job with the other two John Green books…I don’t know, I guess I’ll see!.
10 • Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda
SIMON!! This book has been optionned a few days ago if I remember correctly, and I’m so excited! If the movie is as cute as the book is, well it’s going to be amazing.

OMG Before I Fall is being adapted?? Simultaneously excited to see it and terrified that they’ll mess it up! D: It’ll be interested to see how they do the character development, and I hope they make the ending as shocking as it was in the book…
It is!! I was surprised to hear about this, too, but happy at the same time. I really hope that they stay true to the book. It’s one of my favorites, I’ll be so mad it they mess it up 🙁
Thank you for stopping by!! ♥
I definitely agree on more than half of those films! I still have to read the majority though hahaha
Haha, you should get to it soon then, before they come on the big screeeen! (I’m not putting pressure on you, not at all, haha!) I hope you’ll like the books once you read them 😀
Yeeeeeah, no pressure at all 😛 I’ll get to everything in my own time.
I’m sure you will 😀
The only one I’m really looking forward to is The 5th Wave.
My TTT
Well at least there’s one, that’s great! I hope you’ll enjoy the movie 😀
Thank you for your comment! 🙂
I will definitely be seeing all of these! This is such a great list. I still need to read All The Bright Places and Simon vs. , but the others I’ve read!
Thank you so much! Those books were both great, I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did 😀
Thank you for stopping by! <3
I am over the moon excited for Simon!! How long do you think we’ll have to wait?? 2017? 2018?? God I hope not haha!!
Mockingjay comes out in like a week!!! Yay!! So keen 🙂 I’m so glad they chose Eleanor and Park as the first Rainbow book to turn into a movie! I think everyone will fall in love with her storytelling and then she can turn into the YA Nicholas Sparks and have all her books made into movies!! Hahaha! One can wish!!
Great list 🙂
I am, too!! It’s going to be a great movie – well I hope they don’t mess that up, I’ll be SO mad otherwise. I hope we won’t have to wait too long, but I’m thinking we’re looking at a few years at least, and that’s killing me, WHY 🙁
I’m happy too, Eleanor & Park is such a perfect book. I’d love for everyone to discover this beautiful story on the big screen! Well, it can happen, and maybe it will, if you wish it enough, who knows 😛
Thank you so much Amy! <3
I’ve read only two of the books on your list haha. But I’ve heard of all of them and need to read them! I want to read Before I Fall so badly, a lot of people love it. The blurb is so interesting, I think it’d make a great movie! 🙂
Aw, you really should read Before I Fall! It was a great book, I think, the story isn’t like anything I’ve read before, and, well, I think that Lauren Oliver has a great writing style and way to tell stories, so I can only recommend it 🙂 I hope you’ll decide to pick it up! 🙂
Thank you for stopping by <3
I would watch all those movies. Having said that I haven’t kept up with The Hunger Games. I am a terrible J-Law fan. I did see the video of her accidentally kissing Natalie Dormer on the lips at the premiere though. Oh, Jennifer.
I didn’t know that happened!! Well I’m so glad you’re here to tell me that ahah! 😀 Did you read/enjoy all the Hunger Games books? 🙂
Haha, it would only happen to her.
I did. I am not as into them as everybody else was. I thought the first one was really great, but the series sort of lost my attention toward the end. The last book, particularly, I didn’t enjoy at all. There was just so much death! Also I know some people are crazy about him, but I never really connected with Peeta.
Haha, that’s true!!
I agree with you about the death, it was just too much to handle in the last book! I can’t say I agree about Peeta, since I like him, but I’ve met lots of people who can’t connect with him, so at least you’re not alone! 🙂
I really wanted to like him! Maybe I’ll blame the circumstances. There was so much horror it was difficult to really focus on any burgeoning romances happening.
You’re so right about this. With all that’s happening in the book, all the terrible things, it’s hard to think about romance in this!
I heard so many great things about Simon v Homo Sapiens. So glad to hear that it’s becoming a movie. Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday
It was such a great book, let’s hope the movie is good, too! Did you read it? 🙂
Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
I am so excited about Simon! I hope they don’t ruin it though.
I hope so, too! That’s what always scares me when a book is being adapted. The book was so great, I hope they won’t ruin it either.
Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
I had no clue they were doing a Before I Fall movie! I have to add that to my list! 🙂
I only found out about this recently, I’m so excited! 😀
Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
You’re very welcome!
I am definitely excited for every single one of these! Especially The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight!
Yaay, I’m glad to hear that! I hope the movie will be as cute as the book was. I can’t wait to learn more about the whole cast and the release date! 😀
Hi! What a fantastic list. I can’t wait for Before I Fall, too. And a bunch of those books are on my TBR list. I better get reading!
My TTT
Leslie
You should, and tell me what you thought about those after! They’re all great books, I think, I hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂
Thank you for stopping by, Leslie! 🙂
I am so incredibly excited about Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda!! It’s one of my favourites of this year and I’d love to see this in movie form! I’m also really excited about The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. That book was an unexpected gem and it would be perfect as a movie too!
I can’t wait, either! Those were two of the favorite books I read this year. I’ll just cross my fingers, in hope that they don’t ruin this. I’m always scared when there’s a book to movie adaptation, that it’ll ruin the whole story for me.
Thank you for your comment Jenna <3
Wow really?! Before I Fall? I’m excited! That book reminds me so much of Mean Girls (have you watched that yet?) and I love Mean Girls so I’m really looking forward to this!!
Mean Girls, it’s one of my favorite movies haha, I’ve seen it multiple times and I never get over it!! I can’t wait for this, and I hope we get more casting news and release dates soon 🙂
Thank you Trisha <3
THE BEST TEENAGE MOVIE EVER! I can still remember and recite most of the dialogoues vividly haha! 🙂
I’m SO happy to hear that, I can quote almost the entire movie, just by heart, haha!! 🙂
Can’t wait to see Mockingjay Part 2!
My TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2015/11/10/top-ten-tuesday-30/
I can’t wait either, I hope it’s going to be good! 🙂 Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
No problem!
Oh my gosh! Mockingjay Part 2!! How could I have forgotten those movies on my list!? Super exciting. And I am excited for Allegiant too. I haven’t seen Insurgent either–and for me the first book was the best in that series. Didn’t like the ending, but intrigued by how they will portray it in the film. Also I really need to read Eleanor and Park.
Thanks for stopping by my TTT 🙂
I agree with you about the Divergent series, the first book really was the best one! 🙂 I’m curious to see if they’ll stick to the original ending, or not, since I’ve heard they took some liberties from the written story in Insurgent.
You should read Eleanor & Park, it’s such a beautiful story 🙂
Thank you for stopping by!! 😀
I am 100% gonna cry all my tears for Mockingjay II, I can already see the mess that I’ll be in the movie theatre… maybe I’ll wait for the DVD release! Same as with All The Bright Places.
Ahah, don’t worry, I’ll be a mess when I see it on the big screen, too…I plan on hiding far far away in the last row of the movie theater, hoping that no one sees me slowly turning into a puddle of tears, ahha! 🙂
Thank you for stopping by, Aentee! <3
I had no idea Simon was optioned a few days ago. That is very exciting! AND WHAT?! Before I Fall is going to be a movie? I honestly don’t remember much other than the main plot but I loved that book so much when I read it, which was many years ago. It’s actually the only Lauren Oliver book I’ve ever read. That’ll be awesome, I’m sure. And great pick for Let It Snow! I really loved the first short story in it. 🙂
YES! I can’t wait to see how that goes, Before I Fall is one of my favorite books, I hope they’ll do great with it. They just started filming, so I’m getting very impatient 😀
Let It Snow is a great reader for winter time, I hope they’ll turn it into a great movie for that time, too 🙂
