Happy December, friends 🎄 (Well, almost December as I’m writing this, but who’s counting). Last month of the year and I have absolutely no idea where this year went, okay.

It’s funny: I have no idea where this month went and apparently, I wasn’t even that busy. I don’t know what happened, really.
November has been a month filled with work and the weather getting really colder and wintery here on my side of the world, as well. Aside from working all month long, I still managed to have some lovely times going out with friends and at a concert, as well. I feel like I’ve been doing a little better, mental-health wise, overall, let’s hope the feeling will last.
Not much else to share here, I’m afraid! Not a fan of December, as you might guess, but excited to see my family for the holidays soon!

Monthly Reading Wrap-Up
I don’t know what happened, this November (once again).
Maybe I’ve just been busier than usual, socially, but my reading has truly been the worst than it’s ever been. I’ve read nice books and I guess, sometimes, I just need to be okay with the fact that I read a bit less.

AT MIDNIGHT ☂️ This was such a good anthology overall. While I had a hard time with some stories, I loved how unique and original others were. Recommending it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
IF YOU COULD SEE THE SUN ☂️ Absolutely obsessed with this book, the overachievers, enemies to lovers, the exciting mix of thrilling moments and contemporary, the family vibes. LOVED THIS. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER ☂️ I had such a fun time reading this overall ! Loved the reality TV show aspect, the drama, the blooming relationship. Recommending it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book Discoveries of The Month

THE ROSEWOOD HUNT ☂️ Tracking down her grandmother’s missing fortune before they find it. That’s the gist and honestly, i’m here for these kind of exciting thrillers lately!
💧 Find the book on Goodreads
THIS IS HOW YOU FALL IN LOVE ☂️ An adorable, heartfelt rom-com with fake-dating, sounds like my kind of thing.
💧 Find the book on Goodreads
WE’LL NEVER TELL ☂️ A group of friends in an Hollywood mansion, stumbling into an old mystery… this sounds SO good!

Goodreads challenge: 49/50 books
Well, I think I’ll certainly make my goodreads goal so, YAY!

Well, I did it.
Almost, because I still need to re-read and I think I messed up a chapter on the way there, but… I’m done with draft 3 of my WIP.

I guess there’s the reason I haven’t read as much? I’ve been extra focused on finishing my edits and I’m kind of proud of myself for being able to do it. My goal was to finish before the end off the year, so… YAY!
I still need to put in a little bit of work into this WIP in December (re-read it all overall and check what the heck I did with that chapter), but afterwards… onto the next step. Which is… more work awaiting, obviously, but still. YAY!
Also excited to get started and explore some other ideas I’ve had stuck in my mind for AGES.
📢 Serious question for all writers: do we think it’s best to have a dedicated platform to talk about writing, on social media, or to mix things up?

I celebrated 8 years of book blogging this past month. Can you believe it, because I can’t?! How long have I been ranting on here? Just, wow. My brain’s having a hard time with this, okay.

In other news, I feel like blogging has been… okay, these past few weeks. November hasn’t been the most prolific blogging month, either, unfortunately (I seriously have no idea what happened, this month. This really is the theme of this wrap-up). Yet, I still have a couple ideas written for December and I’m excited to get started on all the end of the year lists, as well. These posts are always so much fun to write!

Still in this trying-it-all-out phase on instagram. I managed to be quite consistent in the past month, but I also have a bit of a hard time finding my pace and right mix between writing-bookish-other kind of content. But I’m trying!

It sounds like you had a pretty good month, Marie! Congratulations on finishing your third draft, that’s SO exciting and I’m SO happy for you! 💜 I hope December continues to be good to you! 😊
Ahh thank you🥺🥺 I hope you’ll have a lovely December <3
Thank you! ❤️
Ah congrats on finishing the 3rd draft! I’m so proud of you 💜 My November was alright, I ended up going on a rereading spree with books 2 and 3 of the iron fey series which was lovely honestly. That series is like another home for me with the characters. I’m glad you had a good month overall! Sending you love Marie and I hope you have a lovely December 💜
Thank you so much 😭 I’m so grateful for your support for this book! 🥺 I hope that December wil be kind to you, sending you lots of love! <3
I think I’ve told you this a million times and I look forward to telling you a million more, but I am SO PROUD OF YOU and your writing!! *throws confetti*
But you asked: “📢 Serious question for all writers: do we think it’s best to have a dedicated platform to talk about writing, on social media, or to mix things up?”
For social media, I think it’s great to mix it up. My favorite writers and authors I follow on Twitter are those who share bookish and writing updates but I also get pet pics and honest musings and random thoughts. I don’t think you *need* to have a completely separate writing account for social media. However, if you wanted to, that’s not doing anything *wrong*, either, though!! Whatever feels best for you, truly.
Nicole thank you so, so much, your support means the world to me 🥺😭🥺😭 and thanks for your reply, love your insight! I agree that it can be good to mix it up. I just need to find the guts to talk about my writing a bit more ahah. Thank you so much!!
It’s definitely hard sometimes to put yourself out there and trust others with your work! But I promise you there are other writers who would love to support you!!!
Thank you, Nicole 🥺🥺🥺
🖤🖤🖤🖤
Yay for finishing your writing goal and Goodreads goal. I hope you have a great December.
Thank you so much, I hope December has been kind to you so far! <3
Congratulations on making such amazing progress with your book. Seriously, I am so impressed by people who can conceive and execute a whole book from scratch. You almost hit your reading challenge too. Nice! I hope December is kind to you and is another great month
Thank you so, so much, this means a lot!! 🥺 I hope December will be lovely for you, too! <3
Happy blogiversary! If You Could See the Sun sounds so good, I must add it to my TBR. Hope your December is going well so far.
Thank you so much, Alicia! I hope you’ll enjoy the book, it was so good. Have a lovely month and take care <3
Glad to see that you loved If You Could See the Sun so much, I keep seeing such praise for it, which makes me even more excited to pick it up 🥰 Congrats on finishing draft 3 of your WIP!! 🥳
